I’m shocked at this parents dangerous behavior I’m cycling to work approximately 15 mph when I was overtaken by this lady and a small child. To then see then speed past a red light was horrible. How can anyone say this is ok 😡😡😡

#LTNs HAVE INCREASED AIR POLLUTION ON MAIN ROADS #Lambeth council and other councils introduced #LTNs in 2020 during the Covid pandemic using 'social distancing' as an excuse. #Lambeth council close multiple side roads using with #LTNs pushing more traffic onto #BrixtonRoad which was already quite polluted. Like many other councils, they also flouted democracy and continued with LTNs despite majority objecting or flooded surveys with cycle lobby responses. #Brixton road has consistently been above legal limits of NO2 which have worsened since the #LTNs were introduced - see @LondonAir map and info below. #Lambeth council wishes to introduce MORE #LTNs either side of Brixton road (north of map below) causing yet more congestion and pollution as this resident points out. This will further the health ineqity in the capital. This will make jouney times longer for bus users as shown by @ediz1975 This will hurt local businesses. This will result in working people who rely on motorised vehicles for work e.g. delivery drivers and other having to take longer routes causing more pollution. Burst water main No Northern line PLUS #LTNs, 'wands' and selfish NIMBYs .... Results in LACK OF ROAD SPACE REDUNDANCY - traffic chaos on A roads, buses stuck, increased pollution and cogestion for all the residents and commuters. Why aren't these Cllrs in jail? How do you expect people to know? Not everyone is on X. The handling of this is awful. Streatham Hill LTN also needs to open.

There is still severe disruption on Brixton Hill today from Saturday’s burst water main. Very frustrating that @thameswater aren’t communicating a timescale for these repairs! Site workers this morning suggested it would be at least another two weeks. 1/3
