Our biggest surprise was yet to come. When we forced the centrosome to be located at the periphery, by centrifugating and enucleating the cell, we saw that it recentered not by moving to the center but by moving the cell toward it!

I had mixed research experiences as an undergraduate and was unsure about research. I decided to give it a shot as a postbac, & it was transformative. I used those experiences to inform the postbac program in the laboratory, now soliciting applications.
