@Diane_edits @baddestmamajama Perhaps they were referring to “dead as a door nail” and just condensed it? I must admit, however, that I find that doubtful!

@Lenscapper1 @50_yow @a_standal @japonotlan There’s federal legislation that protects arms manufacturers and dealers, making them immune from these kinds of suits

@MacFarlaneNews This makes no sense. They didn’t think they could help injured children?

@HatakeNighn @RKS_888 @AmandaSnJhn @eleeSexton @lauraapollo @Amy_Siskind @CNN This isn’t true. A gun at home is 4x more likely to be involved in an accidental shooting than self defense. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/9715182/
English

@RKS_888 @AmandaSnJhn @eleeSexton @lauraapollo @Amy_Siskind @CNN More lives are saved by defensive use of firearms then are killed. The CDC estimates around 0.5 - 3million people are saved by defensive use of firearms per year in the US. While only ~18,000 are killed annually by guns. So logically banning guns may result in more deaths total.

This is just unthinkable: SEVEN police officers were inside the school but did not confront the shooter per @CNN. They waited "about an hour" for a Border Patrol tactical team to arrive. A full hour. Seven armed officers to one 18 year-old. The good guys with the guns?

@Doug_Abbott_10 @WolverineCorner @transscribe Cancel culture definitely an important point to make in a discussion about a school shooting that killed 21 people
English

@WolverineCorner @transscribe Sounds like I hit a nerve. Shouldn’t be canceling anyone, that’s the point.

@HappyCowGF @MrGreene_1848 @JoshuaPotash usatoday.com/story/news/pol… you can just google columbine protocol and different articles will reference. Pre columbine my understanding is they approached these as likely hostage situations (setting up perimeter, negotiating with suspect, etc)
English

The cops let the shooter in, refused to go in and stop him, and then kept parents out. If this doesn’t change your views on policing I don’t know what will.
Matt Novak@paleofuture
This video make so much more sense now. The cops literally stopped parents from helping their kids.

@HappyCowGF @JoshuaPotash Yeah I don’t think the situation could have been much worse. They also got one child killer by alerting the shooter to her hiding spot
