On Rhys Carre. Can see why he chose to go to Sarries. He's only 21 and will get to work under tutelage of Mako Vunipola, probably world's best No 1. He'll also be vying for European trophies year after year - a pipe dream for Welsh regions. Imagine Rhys Gill gave a glowing ref

Rugby fans please get behind young Harry Banks. The 10-year-old has stage 4 Neuroblastoma (a rare & aggressive cancer) & needs your support to help raise £500,000 for the treatment he so desperately needs. Please donate if you can here 👉 tinyurl.com/y7jwqajg #ForOurPlayers

@EGRugby @UkWayneb Good to chat but I only generally engage on here when I know the person’s name who I am talking to. All the best. S

What a talent Rhys Carre is. Built like a tank and ridiculous pace for his size. That was some break. Bringing back memories of Gethin Jenkins’ famous run to the line against the same opposition. Cardiff 12, Uruguay 7.

@simonrug @UkWayneb He wouldn't admit it but in games he's been involved in with Cardiff Blues, Cardiff RFC and Wales Age Grade it's been very evident. Good Rugby player though.

@EGRugby @UkWayneb Can’t say I’ve ever got the impression he doesn’t want to scrum. I will ask him his thoughts on the tight when I speak to him next.

@simonrug @UkWayneb He also needs to want to scrum. Never seen a dominant scrummager who doesn't get excited about each and every scrum. Not sure if that can be coached.

@ceedee72 @RugbyInsideLine You could give penalties in every ruck if you refereed it to the letter of the law. Many penalties given could just as easily go the other way.

@EGRugby @RugbyInsideLine Also whether entering ruck or already in it, once he’s got up and dives back in then he’s re-entered. Even if he’s considered still in the ruck he’s used his feet to dive forward and come off his feet. You must not leave feet and be unsupported in a ruck. He intentionally did so

Has Will Skelton been lucky to escape being banned this weekend? Similarities to Bastareud here...

@EGRugby @RugbyInsideLine Laws change and they have to be applied consistently. The contact was absolutely not below armpit line, that much is obvious even if you dispute contact with head. Leading with shoulders without any wrapping of arms is never legal regardless of where on the body it occurs

@ceedee72 @RugbyInsideLine Leading with a shoulder yes. Everything you do in Rugby is shoulder lead. No visible contact with head, already in ruck. To the letter of the law possibly a red card. Just not in the way we were brought up playing it. Respect your opinion though.

@EGRugby @RugbyInsideLine No you pointed out that you’re giving a players perspective suggesting that I wasn’t. I might even be a ref for all you know. Anyway, point was, leaving feet to enter a ruck = not legal. Any contact with head = not legal. Leading with shoulder = not legal. Red card all day

@EGRugby @RugbyInsideLine All players joining the ruck must stay on their feet. That’s the law according to RFU. Even if you want to discount the shoulder to head contact which is against rfu laws in place to minimise risk of concussion injuries (whether it hurts really isn’t the issue)

@EGRugby @RugbyInsideLine I note that you’re assuming I have no playing experience too. I can’t think why you’d make such an assumption other than because of my gender

@ceedee72 @RugbyInsideLine Just coming from a rugby perspective. It's not dangerous. It may look bad if you slow it down but having played the game that won't have hurt the opposite player. Not trying to be disrespectful, just our opinion. Some of the citings of late are farcical.

@EGRugby @RugbyInsideLine It’s very clearly his face that the shoulder makes contact with. Haven’t a clue what you’re on about with the chess comment. Also even if it was the sternum that the shoulder made contact with, it’s still not legal to dive into a ruck like that with feet leaving the ground
