The idea that Trump could siphon nearly a quarter of a billion dollars from our treasury after slashing $1 trillion from Medicaid and gutting crucial life-saving services is outrageous. To add insult to injury, the current government shutdown is a result of Republicans refusing to extend Affordable Care Act subsidies. Apparently, MAGA has no money to help average Americans, but they have $230 million to fatten Trump's wallet. Yesterday, Trump himself addressed the outrageous self-dealing, admitting that it's "awfully strange" and "interesting" but he will be "paying myself." All of this shameless graft is downstream of a Republican Party that refuses to hold its leader accountable.
