This is powerful. 👇 They called him "The Stupid"—and that's exactly what he wanted. When Navy sailor Douglas Hegdahl was captured during the Vietnam War and thrown into the infamous Hanoi Hilton prison camp, he made a decision that would save hundreds of lives. He would play dumb. Hegdahl acted confused, clumsy, harmless. His captors laughed at him. They gave him freedom to wander because they thought he was too simple to be a threat. They were catastrophically wrong. While pretending to stumble around, Hegdahl was secretly pouring dirt into enemy truck fuel tanks, quietly sabotaging their operations. But his greatest act of defiance was invisible: he began memorizing every detail about his fellow prisoners—names, capture dates, conditions—information the enemy deliberately kept hidden from the world. 256 names. 256 faces. 256 families who deserved to know their loved ones were alive. How did he remember them all? He set the information to the tune of "Old MacDonald Had a Farm," singing it silently in his head, day after day. In 1969, Hegdahl was released as part of a propaganda stunt. The North Vietnamese thought they were freeing a harmless fool. Instead, they released one of the war's most valuable intelligence assets. The moment he reached American soil, Hegdahl delivered every name, every detail, ensuring that 256 prisoners would not be forgotten. Sometimes the most powerful weapon isn't strength—it's the courage to let others underestimate you.

Stop calling it the "Epstein Ballroom." Trump hates it when you call it the "Epstein Ballroom." So stop saying #EpsteinBallroom.

BREAKING: A former senior Trump adviser TORCHES his demand that the American people fork over $230 million from their "checkbook" as a settlement payment for the Justice Department investigating him. This is the most blatant corruption in American history... “If the president wants to get an apology from the Department of Justice, or from somebody for doing him wrong — one thing. For John Q. Public to come out of their checkbook to pay him money, it’s not like Donald Trump’s brand has been hurt by that, right?” David Urban said on CNN. Urban was a senior adviser to Trump's 2016 campaign and advised his failed 2020 re-election campaign. “If you go around the world and look at the Trump developments, and the Trump properties, and how profitable the Trump Organization is today, I don’t think it was harmed by any of that,” he added. The idea that Trump could siphon nearly a quarter of a billion dollars from our treasury after slashing $1 trillion from Medicaid and gutting crucial life-saving services is outrageous. To add insult to injury, the current government shutdown is a result of Republicans refusing to extend Affordable Care Act subsidies. Apparently, MAGA has no money to help average Americans, but they have $230 million to fatten Trump's wallet. Yesterday, Trump himself addressed the outrageous self-dealing, admitting that it's "awfully strange" and "interesting" but he will be "paying myself." All of this shameless graft is downstream of a Republican Party that refuses to hold its leader accountable. Trump knows that he controls the House and Senate and that cowards like Mike Johnson are too afraid to stop his crime spree. Please retweet and ❤️ to demand prosecutions when Democrats retake power!

Jack Smith is a man of honor. I believe he’ll be the one who’ll put trump behind bars, sooner or later. Congress, let him speak.

Since the House is in recess why don't Democrats interview Jack Smith on their own, in public and televise it on MSNBC with Rachel Maddow as moderator?

SPEAKER JOHNSON: "If the current trajectory continues, many Americans could miss watching their favorite teams." “So football fans, hey, if you’re stuck in the airport this weekend while your favorite team is about to kick off, you can blame the Democrats for that.”
