@raycroxy1 @i_iratus While I like the meme (!) I think Johnson will love reading this post. He really doesn't care about how we see him. It's a joke to him. He'll wake up & say to his wife or latest mistress... 'haha I still have enough power to rile the plebs'.

@drruthannharpur It is political. I believe that far right AND far left are controlling the narrative. We, as professionals citing research / evidence-based practice, are going to be vilified, no matter what we say.

@ELPsychologue I don't think this is a right left political thing. Most nhs staff and HCPs are left leaning and implement these policies with great enthusiasm. And those who wish to dismiss what I say I've accused me of being far right and in league with cruel and heartless big business.

@i_iratus Ty for putting my thoughts into such eloquent words. OFC, the 'endgame' won't stop at women. They will come for white non-privileged men eventually but nobody can see that. Terrifying.

@PaulbernalUK Trump won't give up the presidency. His cognitive decline will be shielded and hidden. JD Vance will end up being the front man & making all the decisions. Vance's ideology is also terrifying. 2025 project full go ahead.

For those waking up in US, bewildered in Europe, what happened? Have been on air for last 12 hours pouring over the data Here it is There's no silver lining for Democrats. Trump won everywhere. He's going to win the popular vote. He did better across the demographics. He grew his coalition, better with black voters, Latinos, young voters. The US become less racially divided by party. Harris underperformed Biden virtually everywhere. Trump improved on his 2020 margin in 2,367 counties. His margin decreased in only 240 counties.

@name_numberss @lewis_goodall The art of being a successful demagogue is creating sufficient polycrises that the public are too distracted to notice a degradation of living conditions.

@jonallenpt @RestIsPolitics @RoryStewartUK Trump cares about growing the American economy and creating more opportunities for more people. If America wins, more Americans will win. That’s the mentality of pure capitalism which he champions and which makes the working class Yank wake up in the morning.

We are heading towards very difficult times. Please look after your mental health. 💚 Switch the television off and move away from social media for a little while if you need a break from the news. 💚 Spend some time in nature.

@JonathanShedler I hurt you; I feel guilty; I don't like this feeling; you must have deserved it; I hate you. I did you a favour; I feel resentful; I don't like this feeling; I must like you.

“He had once in the past been asked ‘Why do you hate so and so, so much?’ And he had answered them… ‘I’ll tell you. He has done me no harm. But I played him a dirty trick, and ever since I have hated him” Psychological insight from F. Dostoyevsky (The Brothers Karamazov)

A small hill I will die on: “I could care less” is not right. It is not the same as “I couldn’t care less” (which is correct). In fact, it’s the complete opposite. It simply does not make sense.

The vaccine he is referring to is the BioNTech-Pfizer vaccine - sponsored by EU funds, developed in the EU (a Turkish company, BioNTech, in Germany), trialled in the EU, then shipped from the EU to the UK. The EMA started assessing that vaccine before the MHRA did (and held more data), but the MHRA decided to make a call on its safety before the EMA. They made that call on Dec 2nd 2020 (see link below). At that date, the UK was still in the Single Market for Medicines, so the emergency approval happened under EU law, as stated by the Head of the MHRA (June Raine) at the time. Upon approval, the BioNTech-Pfizer vaccine was immediately available to the UK, because the EU had allowed for this availability worldwide. This was unlike the AstraZenica vaccine that shortly followed, where the EU had booked millions of doses, but the UK had done a later contract with AZ ensuring they could not ship out of the UK without UK govt permission - which they withheld for the EU. Therefore, Brexit was not a factor in the UK speed of the vaccine approval - which all happened under EU law. gov.uk/government/new…
