By 2050 experts expect world fisheries to collapse. As marine wildlife slowly depletes, overfishing is a problem that needs to be addressed since it has severe global consequences regarding society's economic, social, and environmental well-being. #Em203Robin#EM203Problem

@EM203DAtchuela Hello Diana! The constructivism learning theory is an interesting one as it suggests that instead of learning by simply consuming information and memorizing it, it’s most effective to learn by understanding the information in terms of what it means to the individual.
I learned a new learning theory called Constructivism. This opened a new perspective for me to incorporate into my teaching style. Technology also supports this learning theory through reflections, discussion forums, online collaborative learning, and many more. #EM203Robin
@EM203VitoJames I’ve enjoyed the experience as well! Interactive tasks such as using Twitter and our discussion board has helped me develop different learning strategies and interpret learning concepts in a variety of ways.
The first 3 weeks in EM203 have been very interactive. I enjoy the experience of learning how education is managed in the digital age by doing things such as interactive tasks that resemble these learning strategies and concepts. #EM203Robin
@EM203Marcelo Hi Marcelo, it’s interesting to observe the impacts of the 3 M’s on one’s learning. For example, in the multi-modal it’s found that a variety of formats is effective as long as the format matches the modality used to interpret it.
In class #EM203Robin , I have learned about cognitive thinking as well as the 3 M's and how a combination of the 3 can both enhance or be a detriment to ones learning.
@EM203dmelo Hi Destiny, it’s fascinating to see how the media can have such postive and negative impacts on our learning. For example, the media has enabled students to multi-task, yet it has been found to have a negative impact in the educational realm.
The first lessons of the course taught me about different learners in the digital age and how they learn, as well as the 3 M's. This course has taught me about the impacts of media thus far and I look forward to the rest of this interesting and relatable course. #EM203Robin
@EM203kylecass Hey Kyle, it’s interesting to experience individualized learning techniques due to technological advancements that go beyond the “one size fits all” traditional learning technique that have been used for decades!
In the first few weeks of EM203, I have learned about the numerous ways of learning in the digital age. Lessons 1-3 helped me to critically think about emerging learning theories and the different approaches/techniques to learning that continue to evolve in society. # EM203Robin
So far, #EM203Robin has taught me how the internet has dramatically changed the way humans function and ultimately learn. It's interesting that although the internet has increased our ability to multi-task, research has shown that it is not beneficial in an academic setting.
