Hi @MuinJKhoury, I saw your recent tweet and article. Your focus on DEI in genomics is insightful. I’m doing a project on health equity and would love to know your thoughts. How do you think we can avoid repeating past exclusion as medicine evolves?

Hi @uche_blackstock, I loved watching your conversation with Richard Besser. I’d love to know how, beyond advocacy, what’s one tangible way people can push health equity in their own neighbourhoods? I’m working on a project about health equity and would love your insight!

It's disheartening to see that even in 2025, basic healthcare rights are inequal depending on where people live and the economic status they are at. People choosing between their lives or having money, should not be a reality we have.

Global disparities in #BladderCancer clinical trial availability across income classifications. @kor_shah @cityofhope joins @UroDocAsh @MDAndersonNews to discuss stark inequities based on World Bank income classifications. While high-income countries host 79% of trials (half in the US alone), non-high-income countries bear a disproportionate mortality burden. #WatchNow > bit.ly/3R8Lmqg

As I researched my problem regarding Healthcare Access, I came across this website. The website posts journal articles that are peer-reviewed and academic, featuring studies posted in various journals. #EM203Research ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK57853…

Rising anxiety and depression rates are worsened by stigma and lack of access to mental health services. Inequities in healthcare and caregiver shortages make support harder to find. Expanding digital therapy and reducing stigma can help. #EM203problems @EM203GLi

Is there any cause and effect when vaccines are given to children and are then diagnosed with a disability - Many parents are blaming vaccines however is there any truth to this or were they born with it and it wasn't diagnosed till after. @EM203GLi #EM203problems

The scarcity of healthcare services in rural areas makes it more difficult to access health support. Digital therapy services may be able to help, but only if access to technology is addressed. #EM203problems @EM203GLi

High turnover due to poor working conditions worsens the teacher shortage, impacting student learning. Looking at how lack of EAs and support staff increases rates of teacher turnover. @EM203KWeiler #EM203problems

I’ve been enjoying the first three weeks of EM203 so far! I love how the course is more interactive and there is no need to read pages of dry content. I feel like this is very helpful for my learning, especially when it is digital.

@EM203KWeiler I found that survey results to be interesting as well. Especially with a lot of society/people always saying that our generation are phone obsessed. real-life convos > texting

In the first lesson I learned A 2013 MediaSmarts survey showed that while Canadian youth are constantly connected online, most still choose to go offline for real-life connections. Being a “digital native” doesn’t always mean being digitally creative. #EM203Robin

Before starting #EM203Robin, I had little knowledge of digital media's impacts on learning. However, the course's first three lessons have enlightened me and given me more knowledge. I look forward to learning more about this topic!

The first 3 weeks of #EM203Robin showed me that digital literacy goes beyond just using tech... it's about navigating multi-modal environments without falling into cognitive overload. Learning today means knowing how to filter, focus, and adapt in a 24/7 digital world.

I find it especially interesting learning about the first lesson of this course and how technology changes the way we learn and is a response to societal problems. I find it fascinating how media has evolved over time and wonder. #EM203Robin

I'm really enjoying EM 203 so far. In the 3 weeks, we’ve looked at how digital learning works and what kind of learners we are. I found the learning theories super interesting; learning about cognitivism made me think more about how I process and retain information. #EM203Robin
