Hi @MHRIncubator, I’m researching mental health and social media use for a class. What do you think are the biggest challenges people face in balancing online life and wellbeing? Appreciate any thoughts! #EM203Robin

Recognizing the signs that social media is affecting your mental health is the first step toward taking control. If you feel overwhelmed, anxious, or isolated, it’s important to take breaks, set boundaries, and seek support. Your well-being matters—prioritize it every day.

My solution: Set phone-free zones—demo plenary meals, family chats, real time together. Because real connection matters more than a scroll. 💬📵 #EM203Robin #DigitalWellness

Maintaining overall health means balancing physical, mental, and social well-being. Challenges like chronic diseases, mental disorders, and poor nutrition affect quality of life. Improving access to counseling and promoting healthy habits is key. #EM203problems @Em203MJia

Rising anxiety and depression rates are worsened by stigma and lack of access to mental health services. Inequities in healthcare and caregiver shortages make support harder to find. Expanding digital therapy and reducing stigma can help. #EM203problems @EM203GLi

With teacher shortages on the rise students will fall behind - Supply teachers will have to step in and it may make teaching difficult if the supply doesn't understand the curriculum that's needing to be taught, leading students to fall behind. @EM203Areingold #EM203problems

Many students face outdated curriculum that doesn’t teach real-world skills. This makes it harder to prepare for future jobs. Updating education content to be relevant and practical is urgent. #EM203problems @EM203KWeiler

@Em203LeaBraun I agree! Learning about Constructivism really opened my eyes too. It’s cool seeing how much tech changes the way we learn, not just the content.

The first few weeks of #EM203Robin have been eye-opening! I’ve been exploring how learning theories like Constructivism apply in today’s digital world. It’s fascinating to see how technology is reshaping not just what we learn, but how we learn. Can’t wait to keep learning!

@EM203SZSWang Totally agree! It’s crazy how much our learning habits change with technology. Everyone learns so differently and this course really shows that.

Wrapping up the first 3 weeks of #EM203Robin, it's been a completely different learning experience. It made me reflect on how we learn in the digital age. From mutitasking to digital tools, I've realize that learning isn't a one-size-fits-all, it's a constantly evolving process.

@EM203GLi I felt the same way about cognitivism! It really made me think about how I study and remember things. This course has been so interesting so far.

I'm really enjoying EM 203 so far. In the 3 weeks, we’ve looked at how digital learning works and what kind of learners we are. I found the learning theories super interesting; learning about cognitivism made me think more about how I process and retain information. #EM203Robin

@em203parnianr Same here! It’s really making me think more about how I actually use tech when I’m learning. The discussions have been super eye-opening.

Only 3 weeks into #EM203Robin and I'm already rethinking how I use technology to learn. It's not just about having access to digital tools but about how we engage with them. Loving the discussions and insights so far!

@EM203KWeiler I agree! Just because we’re online a lot doesn’t mean we don’t want real-life connection. Balance is definitely important.

In the first lesson I learned A 2013 MediaSmarts survey showed that while Canadian youth are constantly connected online, most still choose to go offline for real-life connections. Being a “digital native” doesn’t always mean being digitally creative. #EM203Robin

The first 3 weeks of #EM203Robin showed me that digital literacy goes beyond just using tech... it's about navigating multi-modal environments without falling into cognitive overload. Learning today means knowing how to filter, focus, and adapt in a 24/7 digital world.
