The first few lessons during EM203 have been very fun with the Twitter challenges. I have learned about learning theories and solved my first-ever sudoku puzzle. #EM203Robin

Just finished my first lessons in #EM203Robin — learning how multi-media, multi-modal, and multi-tasking affect how we learn in a digital age. Loving the challenge so far! 📚💻 #DigitalLearning

@Ben_Halim0503 @boopjoshua I don't like Keshi
English

@boopjoshua You should learn how to play "Soft Spot" by Keshi; I love that song! 🍔
English

After the first 3 weeks of #em203robin I was encouraged to learn something new, so I decided to learn a new song on the guitar! Lots of fun little activities, which keeps the learning super engaging!
English

@_ChanFace These changes are going to affect a lot of Laurier students including me too!

Insane. Thousands of students use these routes daily. Student associations like WUSA have negotiated a mandatory universal transit pass (U-Pass) with GRT--assuming they would serve student populations well.
The 30 Ring Road bus is essential for students with accessibility needs.
TriTAG@TriTAG
Here are maps of the routes being affected by proposed GRT service cuts being considered by Region of Waterloo council (1/4) Reduced frequency on Route 9 Lakeshore and Route 30 Ring Road from every 20 minutes to every 30 minutes

During my first few lessons, we covered the usage of digital tools and how social media can enhance learning. We promoted collaborative, creative, and critical work that enables us to construct knowledge in ways that apply to our everyday life. #EM203Robin
English

@EM203maazahmed I agree Maaz! Social media is a constant distraction for many students including me and abstaining it for study periods is an effective way to stay on track and focused.
English

I was a little bit hesitant taking this class, but when i started learning about the Three M's of media and the way digital learners learn in todays world, it really changed up my perspective of how cutting out distractions keeps you more focused than having them. #EM203Robin
English

@em203_garyc I agree Gary the lessons have been very interesting! I too look forward to the upcoming lessons
English

During the first few weeks of class, the lessons have been very interesting especially lesson 1 where it outlined how technology has impacted learning making it more accessible as well as convenient. Great first weeks, looking forward to future lessons!! #EM203Robin
English

@itsmarkoml I agree Marko! Its a very unique and fun course especially compared to my science core courses!
English

@em203wbrye13973 I also agree that discussion posts are a very fun and flexible way to share information and our unique perspectives!
English

My first few lessons in #EM203Robin have been very engaging and interesting. Learning how to use different applications through the weekly tasks has allowed me to broaden my technical mind. My favourite part has been interacting with the class through the discussion posts.
English

@wlu_nathanael Very good analysis Nathanael! I agree that the COVID pandemic forced a lot of teachers and students to suddenly adapt to a new method of learning, leading to frequent frustration.
English

2) From the "Teaching in a Digital Age" book, it outlines the importance of variance in the ways in which we consume knowledge in the new day and age because of technology. For example was the teachers frustration where she had to modify her lessons because of COVID

I learnt a lot about the benefits of cooperative education, the learning-by-doing method, and Kolb’s Experiential Learning Cycle. These methods help students understand the practical aspects of an industry, allowing them to feel what it's like working in real life! #EM203Robin
