Finished ✔️ NG4 for the second time. This time on my PS5 Pro🙌🏾 enjoyed replaying this with sharper clarity and higher FPS 🔥. Excited to now jump into the DLC. This is definitely one of my favorite action games to drop this Gen

Think about it. In Rise of the Ronin, we have access to a grappling hook, a glider and there are martial arts styles that use blood on the weapons. Ninja Gaiden 4 comes out, and You have once again, a Glider and a Grappling Hook, and bloodbind ninjutsu as a system mechanic. Now Here is the funny part, one thing NG4 did very different from past NGs, is the strings and commands for weapons, strings are only variations of light and heavy attacks and you have two command moves per attack button, said attacks can be done in the middle of strings, which is effectively novelty for the series, but... thats exactly how martial arts skills work in Wo long, Rise of the Ronin and Now, Nioh 3, the input differs, but behavior is similar. Nioh 3 also has Guardian spirit skills that give you, contextually in spirit veins, NG classic stuff like wall runs or water walking, but also Flight and grappling points. Of course, those elements are not super deep gameplay elements, but the way I can pinpoint common elements being used in the same way across Rise of the Ronin, Ninja Gaiden 4, and Nioh 3, tells me the creative process of these 3 games was probably interconnected, there was a sharing of ideas and elements, and I find that fascinating.

I hope @TeamNINJAStudio will release a NINJA GAIDEN 3 BLACK remaster in the future (similar to 2B). 3RE has some of the best combat gameplay ever. A 3 Black would be an amazing way to reintroduce the game, bring more peak Ryu and sync perfectly with the DOA revival. #NinjaGaiden

@FalconShxnobi I agree. The only possible alternative one could maybe say is that Kasumi is at a similar level to Yakumo given she is canonically the most powerful character from DOA. But only Ryu and Yakumo have been granted the title of Super Ninja.

I want to jump in on this too so for me? I think Yakumo stops at Ryu. Why? He’s a half dragon just like Ryu and Momiji. so he has more attributes than majority of characters in DOA. We’ve never seen Yakumo fought with his fists but I can strongly assume he can fight —

@FalconShxnobi He can’t beat Ryu and Kasumi, but can beat all the others. I see it as 1. Ryu 2. Yakumo and Kasumi and 3. Hayate and Ayane. It’s very close between all of them though….except Ryu is unquestionably #1 of course.

Where does Yakumo stop at in the gauntlet?

@uyu9053 @JoeMuntal Even now, perhaps the greatest Ninja Gaiden game and one of the best action games ever made. I hope that Team Ninja will consider releasing a NINJA GAIDEN 3 BLACK remaster in the near future!🙏
