Ask yourself this question: In what way does it benefit you, your family, your neighbors, your fellow citizens, to prioritize awarding medical residency spots to foreigners instead of to Americans? This is exactly the opposite of what we should be doing.

Most (but not all) get a residency job via the supplemental match (SOAP).
The number who "didn't actually get a job" is typically in the LOW HUNDREDS.

American medical students should never compete with foreigners for residency spots. As Florida Governor, I will fight so every residency spot in Florida is reserved for qualified Americans.

U.S. grads apply to competitive specialties (ENT, orthopedic surgery, derm, etc.) or list too few programs and don't match.
Primary-care spots after the main match often go to IMGs
The numbers going back to 2007 are stable.
