The second statement from Energy CS, Opiyo Wandayi, on the Kes 4.8 billion consignment.
· A 60,000MT consignment of Super Petrol was imported into the country in contravention of the procedures set out under the G-to-G contractual framework with international suppliers
· This consignment was priced at Kes 198,000/MT , compared to Kes 140,000/MT under the G-to-G arrangement
· This reflects a delta of Kes 58,000/MT, which would result in an approximate rise of Kes 14.0/Litre in pump prices
· The government has directed One Petroleum Ltd, the company that imported the said product & invoiced Oil Marketing Companies, to immediately withdraw all invoices issued & raise credit notes
· The government directs One Petroleum Ltd to remove the 60,000MT consignment of Super Petrol out of Kenya as soon as possible
· The government directs that Oil Marketing Companies should neither pay the invoices nor uplift
product from this consignment
· The market regulator, Energy & Petroleum Regulatory Authority has been directed to exclude the 60,000MT consignment of Super Petrol from the monthly computation of petroleum product costs
Cross-reference this with the first statement, see quoted tweet

@AmbokoJH What the minister has done is the correct thing to do. In the past people would get away with this kind of malfeasance to the detriment of consumer prices.

Baptised Catholics who walk away from the true Church often claim they have “seen the light.”
But let’s be clear, that is not the light.
No failure of a priest.
No scandal of a bishop.
Not even the weakness of a Pope is ever a justification to abandon the Catholic Church.
The truth is this: you don’t leave Christ because of Judas.
The Catholic Church is not built on the perfection of men. it is built on Christ Himself and sustained by the Eucharist.
Those who truly understand and value the Eucharist do not walk away from it.
Call it what it is, not “seeing the light,” but turning away from it.
Leaving the Catholic Church is synonymous with turning away from the Light.

@georgenjoroge_ He has been a good businessman yes. But that doesn’t mean he takes advantage of the war crisis to rob Kenyans.
English

This isn’t just any businessman.
Mohamed Jaffer has had his hands on grain, fuel and port logistics the arteries of this country’s economy.
At one point, he was handling nearly all bulk grain imports into Kenya.
You don’t operate at that level without understanding every moving part of the system.
So if the DCI is calling him in, they’re not fishing, they’re sitting across from someone who knows exactly how this game is played behind the scenes.

DCI detectives are set to arrest Mombasa based businessman Mohamed Jaffer together with his sons, Mujtaba Mohamed Jaffer, Ali Abbas Jaffer and Mohamed Husein Jaffer, to record statements over the ongoing fuel import scandal.

Saint Lazarus remained in Hades for four days, and then Christ raised him, and he lived another 33 years.
It is said that until his death he never laughed again—except once, when he saw someone stealing a clay pot. He later told his sisters that it was the first time he had seen clay (man, made of earth) stealing clay.
After his resurrection, Lazarus sweetened all the food he ate, because everything tasted bitter to him—apparently from the taste he had acquired during his four-day stay in Hades.
The Apostles sent Lazarus to Cyprus, because his resurrection had caused many people to believe, and the Jews wanted to kill him.
In Cyprus, he was ordained by the Apostles as Bishop of Kition (modern-day Larnaca).

Christ is risen from the dead, and with him, we too rise to new life! This Easter proclamation embraces the mystery of our lives and the destiny of history, reaching us even in the depths of death. #Easter

This didn’t just happen for the Jews either. Pretty much every society that we have surviving documents of from the time, from the Romans to the Chinese, mention their spiritual rituals either no longer working or being seriously weakened around the time of Christs crucifixion.

The Talmud basically says “yeah nothing supernatural in our religion worked anymore after Jesus died for some reason” and then Jews still deny Christ’s divinity.

@_makkiee Without Easter Christmas would just be any other normal day and Christendom wouldn’t exist as we know it
