Chukwuma Charles Soludo once asked the president to release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to him, Peter Gregory Obi never opposed him or attacked him. Mr Peter Gregory Obi told his audience in America that he will release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu from prison if elected as president of Nigeria, Chukwuma Charles Soludo not only openly attacked Peter Gregory Obi, he opposed him too. This is not how politics is played, Fashola, Sanwoolu and Ambode are not attacking Bola Tinubu the same as Chukwuma Charles Soludo is attacking Peter Obi, this should be a lesson for Soludo. @CCSoludo

Secondly, he knows Obi’s candidacy won’t see the light of the day and it would lead SE to another political isolation along with him. In 2023, He made it clear that Obi was only helping Tinubu to win and he was right.

Soludo (Prof, ex-CBN Gov, current Governor) has no reason to be jealous of Obi. Criticism is not hate or jealousy.

I live here and has witnessed politics at its best, you run for office to win or to loose, it is like a lottery, if you don’t play you will not win, but the so called professor engages in name calling, blackmail and pure jealousy. If Obi loose, he will go back to his family, the same goes for Atiku, Donald Duke and even Tinubu. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves. That is why that country is the way it is.

Yes Peter Obi tried but also know that the bank he was chairman by virtue of number of shares was called Fidelity Union Merchant Bank the share capital then was just 12M with just 1 branch in Lagos, it was more or less the microfinance bank of this days now, the likes of Moniepoint, Flutterwavr ,Kuda etc are almost 10 times better than FUMB of the 90s. FUMB became commercial bank in 1999 when merchant banking was scrapped but operations started 2001. Peter Obi step down as Chairman in 2002 to join politics though remained highest shareholder. By 2005 when non could make the 25 Billion capitalization Fidelity bank merged with FSB and Manufacturers Bank also called Manny Bank to be one bank. Peter Obi is now not listed as a shareholder in fidelity bank, the likes of Onyeali, Mustapha Chike Obi, Nelson are the one listed though non have upto even 1% share the bank is mainly publicly owned.
