This conidium has germ tubes from each pole, 𝘉𝘪𝘱𝘰𝘭𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘴. This Bipolaris has four-celled conidia with germ tubes in the conidium’s axis. Bipolaris can be confused with Exserohilum. Here’s an oldie but goodie @JClinMicro to help you distinguish: journals.asm.org/doi/pdf/10.112…

@katie_kadora @codarra Very good idea, Dr. Kadora! 👍 Another is to number the slides (use alcohol-resistant ink or a pencil!) and create a Word file or Excel spreadsheet master key. I like this because lots of details of the case can be added that cannot fit inside the box. 😊
