BREAKING: The Ford government is changing Ontario's Freedom Of Information act system, effectively gutting a tool journalists use to obtain documents related to government decision-making: - The Premier, Ministers and their offices will all be excluded from the FOI system. - This applies to all existing requests - Only civil servants can be FOI'd - The government is extending the response timeline from 30 calendar days to 45 business days. #onpoli

#BREAKING The Ford government is changing its freedom-of-information law to exclude the premier, cabinet ministers and their offices from FOI requests, removing the public’s access to their records.

The education minister suggests school boards could remain under supervision for years: “until they are on the right path. If it takes us 1 year, 2 years, 3 years, 10 years, I don’t care.” He adds no decision yet on if trustees will be on ballots in upcoming municipal elections
