We see a new world order characterized by competition and coercive power politics, featuring military powers, who aim to establish spheres of influence.
How we respond to this moment will define us.
Our degree of success depends on how we deliver under our priorities and rally international support.

On International Women's Day, we recognise their indispensable contribution to lasting peace. Research shows peace agreements are more likely to endure when women take part in peace processes.
The new Gender Equality Strategy 2026-2030 sets out further steps to strengthen women’s participation, rights and opportunities.

Namibia is intensifying reforms to strengthen its anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing framework, with support from the European Union, as the country prepares for key international assessments and works towards exiting the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) grey list.
The Financial Intelligence Centre (FIC), in partnership with the European Union, this week launched a National Risk Assessment (NRA) workshop in Windhoek.
The initiative forms part of Namibia’s broader strategy to reinforce its Anti-Money Laundering, Combating the Financing of Terrorism and Countering Proliferation Financing (AML/CFT/CPF) regime.

Iran’s attacks of a number of countries in the Middle East are inexcusable.
The events must not lead to further escalation that could threaten the region, Europe and beyond, with unpredictable consequences.
We are taking all necessary steps to ensure the safety of EU citizens in the region.
The EU expresses its solidarity with partners that have been attacked or affected. We will continue to contribute to all diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions and bring about a lasting solution to prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon.
