Pope Leo XIV recently recognized the efforts of a group of hospitals dedicated to serving children from underprivileged parts of the world. Major children’s hospitals with highly trained specialists, advanced equipment, and research are helping smaller hospitals or clinics in other countries that may lack the necessary resources. The group’s recent projects include an hour-long surgery to save conjoined twins from West Africa. Watch the full story: ow.ly/juIY50YvqTU

A faith-based initiative is helping people overcome addiction and break bad habits. ‘Catholic in Recovery’ combines the 12-step recovery process from ‘Alcoholics Anonymous’ with Church teaching and tradition. Founder Scott Weeman says he began his program as a recovering addict himself, and describes how lifting our minds in prayer and relying on God and the examples of the saints can lead to freedom from addictive behaviors. At 110, Father Bruno Kant, the world’s oldest priest, shows the beauty and worth of every human life through his steadfast fidelity and joy in the Lord. Pope Leo XIV thanked him for his “long, faithful, and devoted priestly service,” highlighting how a life rooted in prayer and service remains fruitful to the very end. Father Kant’s secret to longevity? “Prayer keeps me young.” Fr. Kant is a powerful witness that every season of life has God-given value and purpose. Let’s keep him in our prayers!

Fr. Gregory Pine: “Ask God for the grace to see in the individual what he finds worthy, what he makes to be beloved, so that in gaining access to that truth, that secret of the other person's goodness...we can then testify to our own knowledge and love of the Lord.” @godsplaining

This Wednesday morning at the General Audience, little “Pope” Juan Diego from El Salvador received a special blessing from Pope Leo. May we always guide our children to know Christ and follow His holy will. Let’s keep our families in prayer! 🙏 Loving God, We thank you for the gifts of families. We ask your blessing on all families today and always. Be with us in our daily life together. Be our guide in times of challenge. Be our strength in times of difficulty. Be our joy in times of delight. Help our families to grow stronger in your love. And show us how to love one another. As you have loved us. May we welcome Jesus as the unseen guest in our home. May we be his voice and hands, respecting and caring for those we meet. May we look to the example of Jesus, Mary and Joseph, as we strive to be the best family we can be. Most Holy Family of Nazareth, pray for us. Amen.

After studying official government data, a pro-life advocate says next month Canada’s ‘medical-aid-in-dying’ program will surpass 100,000 deaths. Alex Schadenberg from the Euthanasia Prevention Coalition says his findings further prove the government program initiated in 2016 – despite strong objections from Church leaders – is a tragic error that must be corrected.
