BREAKING: OB/GYN and CEO of AAPLOG Dr. Christina Francis goes undercover for the first time to see all the medical risks associated with ordering abortion pills. The results shocked even us. No oversight. No verification. No medical professionals seemingly involved. This site allows women to assume the risk on themselves if they have life-threatening complications that can occur if they have an IUD, on blood thinners, or have anemia. A minor can order them. Just as tragic, abusers can order these drugs and cover up their crimes. This should be a wake-up call. It is time for the FDA to reverse its reckless actions and respect individual state laws by immediately reinstating crucial safeguards that will ultimately protect both women and their preborn children. Mail-order abortions are bad for women’s health, an abusive tool for predators, and lethal for our preborn patients. Today’s decision from the U.S. Supreme Court sends a clear message to the American public: the profits of the abortion industry and unregulated abortion have taken priority over the health and safety of our patients. AAPLOG will continue to fight for life-affirming healthcare and true support of our patients. We are confident that once a decision is made based on the merits of the case, common-sense safety regulations will be reinstated.

No woman should suffer in silence. Pooled data from 22 studies show an 81% increased risk of mental health problems among women with abortion histories. This #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth, AAPLOG affirms the need for compassion, truth, and care for women impacted by abortion, miscarriage, and postpartum depression. Real medicine heals body and mind. aaplog.org

OB‑GYNs walk alongside women through every chapter of life: from early adulthood to preconception to pregnancy and motherhood all the way through menopause and beyond. From the moment of conception, through birth, and into adulthood, we honor the humanity of both mother and child. This Mother’s Day, we celebrate the profound bond between them and the thoughtful, compassionate care that seeks the very best outcomes for both of our patients. Happy Mother’s Day!

Mifepristone is dangerous. It ends unborn lives and exposes women to serious complications. As an OB-GYN committed to caring for both mom and baby, I do NOT stand with @ACOG in their reckless promotion of mail-order abortion drugs with no medical supervision. #ObGynsInAction

BREAKING: AAPLOG filed its amicus brief in Danco v. Louisiana and GenBioPro v. Louisiana, affirming that women deserve REAL medicine, not a mail-order workaround that benefits only the abortion industry. In our brief, we urge the Supreme Court to leave the Fifth Circuit’s ruling in place while also showing how ACOG’s claims to courts about the safety of mail-order abortion are contradicted by its own clinical bulletins. It's time to reinstate the pre-2023 requirement for an in-person evaluation before Mifepristone is dispensed as a bare minimum safety standard, as a first step towards protecting the health and safety of both our maternal and preborn patients. An ER doctor told @TODAYshow readers that pregnancy is “the most dangerous undertaking” of a woman’s life. The truth: 99.98% of American moms safely welcome their babies. For women under 25, it’s 99.99%. This is exactly why @everylife and @aaplog launched ReThink Pregnancy — it’s more than a campaign. It’s the much-needed cultural reset built to give women the full picture of pregnancy, including the science mainstream conversation has left out.

While Danco and GenBioPro rush to keep mail-order abortion drugs available nationwide, AAPLOG went undercover, posing as a 13-year-old anemic girl with no ID or pregnancy verification, and still received GenBioPro's abortion drugs by mail less than a week later. This is the reality of what they’re pushing: not "reproductive freedom," but unrestricted access that puts women, girls, and victims of abuse at serious physical and mental risk. And tragically, killing innocent preborn children. #notoprofitoverpatients

Just when women and preborn children were about to receive bare minimum safety regulations, abortion manufacturers jumped in to save their bottom line. Women deserve real medicine, not a mail-order workaround that benefits only the abortion industry. ‘Telehealth distribution’ of mifepristone would actually provide medical oversight — instead there is none. No exam, no ultrasound, no screening for coercion and no doctor accountable when patients are harmed. This is a transaction, it’s not a medical interaction. Women and their preborn children deserve better. The Supreme Court must allow the Fifth Circuit's ruling to stand.
Alliance Defending Freedom@ADFLegal

On Friday, the Fifth Circuit GRANTED our request to reinstate the in-person dispensing requirement for the abortion drug mifepristone during our appeal. Praise God, that safeguard was in place all weekend... for the first time since 2021. Today, the U.S. Supreme Court issued a 7-day administrative stay while Danco and GenBioPro appeal that victory. To be clear: This is NOT a reversal of Friday's decision. Rather, it's the run-of-the-mill pause that the Justices typically use to consider the issues raised in an emergency application. We- with @AGLizMurrill -will respond by Thursday. The stay will expire on Monday. We respect the Court's desire to have time to consider the issues and will continue our fight to uphold this victory that protects women and babies across the country from FDA's unlawful and destructive mail-order abortion-drug scheme.

VICTORY - Shipment of mail-order abortion drugs is paused! The Fifth Circuit has granted our motion to stay in Louisiana v. FDA. This means shipment of mail-order abortion drugs is paused nationwide while we continue our appeal. Thank you to @AGLizMurrill for her tireless work on this case. WATCH the story of Rosalie Markezich, a co-plaintiff in the case, whose boyfriend pressured her to take these drugs.

👏👏👏 AAPLOG's Vice Chair Dr. Susan Bane remarked on U.S. Supreme Court's correct decision: “Pregnancy centers provide women quality health care and empower them with information at a moment when they need it most. As the medical director of four pregnancy centers, I see firsthand the integrity and compassion the professionals at these centers show the women who turn to us, and today’s Supreme Court decision is an important step in protecting women’s access to this quality care from the weaponization of government power." AAPLOG members include hundreds of pregnancy centers across the country as well as many medical professionals who work in and support their local pregnancy centers. In addition, AAPLOG supports pregnancy center medical directors through its new special interest group that offers a collaborative network for members who are serving or desire to serve as medical directors in pregnancy centers.

.@GavinNewsom once boasted that "California stands for a woman’s right to choose." But California's lawsuit against life-saving Abortion Pill Reversal providers shows the truth: California wants abortion on demand, at any time, with no chance of turning back. We’re grateful to our friends at the @ThomasMoreSoc for standing with @HeartbeatIntl and RealOptions Obria Medical Clinics in their fight against the State of California. thomasmoresociety.org/case/apr
