Investigators have used what is called a “signal sniffer.” It is a small device that was sent in and attached to the Sheriff’s helicopter. It can detect Nancy Guthrie’s pacemaker signal. The helicopter has to stay low and move slowly for it to work.

According to the outlet, the sender wrote shortly after 8 a.m. Pacific Time, insisting, “I am not being taken seriously,” and hinting that the situation had shifted since the day before.
TMZ says the email contained threatening or ominous remarks, but the outlet is withholding specific details while working with law enforcement.
The sender also attempted to justify the bitcoin request, claiming he would need the money to go into hiding after revealing the alleged kidnapper, out of fear of retaliation.
He added that he was worried about being “incriminated like that Carlos [the deliveryman who was detained and released] guy.”
The message closed with the sender saying it was his last effort to help.
