@JoePompliano There is more paid for player benefits on top of the salary cap. So, not really starting with a $150 million profit.

The NFL salary cap has been set at $255.4 million per team next season — an unprecedented $30 million increase. For context, next year, each NFL team will probably receive over $400 million in national revenue from the league office (media rights, league sponsorships, etc.), meaning NFL teams are already up $150 million before any local revenue is calculated, minus expenses. Not a bad business model.
