Still can't comprehend how Nuno ever thought picking Wilson to start at Newcastle instead of Taty was the way to go. Their energy levels, nuisance value, pace and scoring likelihood are poles apart. Wilson is yesterday's man, a last 15-minutes sub at best. Utterly bewildering.

@John110389121 John, I don't doubt that he can get us straight back up - his record tells us so. But then what? He will be out of his depth again, we struggle near the bottom of the PL and have to find yet another man to try and dig us out of trouble. Lay the foundations now for future growth.

@EXHammers Correct, so you wanting a manager who will get us up and keep us up is completely mute. From your 2 phases. 1 is to get us back up. Parker historically is the best possible man for the job. Let's not run before we can walk. To completely disregard him for next year is naive.

Pro-Parker lobby are already at it, FFS. Why don't people do their due dilligence. Parker would get us promoted, only to be out of his depth and sacked in the PL (as he was at Fulham, Bournemouth & Burnley). I want our next manager to win promotion AND consolidate in the PL.

@EXHammers Yeah and that’s the problem, we don’t hire managers based on knowledge, we hire based on how cheap they are and if they’re available. Until sully goes it’ll always be like that. Parker will be seen as the safe choice to get us back up

@EXHammers I want our next manger to be the most likely person to get us promoted. If we have to make a change after that then so be it, plenty of players will leave under those circumstances.

@EXHammers Fully agree but who is that person? Whilst under sully we are very limited on who we’ll go for. Parker the best of what’s available to US! Bilic maybe another option

@westham_boy1958 Short-termism is no good. Parker's CV is crystal clear. Why have more upheaval a few months into our next PL campaign, scratching around for a suitable available manager to try and keep us up? Build strong foundations that will last.

Bowen has been giving 100% ever since he joined us and all I see are tweets giving him abuse today, just go and support a team that will win the league for you.

The lack of intelligence and poor decision-making by our players is the reason we're going down. Too many slow thinkers and movers. As manager, 'No-no' is too naturally negative - look how Leeds and Forest willed themselves away from trouble. Should have gone for it at Palace.

@GlenWorrell @sirgeoff When going gets tough, tough get going. Bowen anonymous all game. Played nothing passes back & sideways. Didn't take on his man because he can't beat people, one on one. Hasn't got the pace to get away from markers. Didn't even drift off the line to try and find space. Nothing.

@sirgeoff He gave fuck all today...jogging about. Not once did he take on someone. Kept seeing him in defensive centre mid and not getting up the pitch. Not a captains performance
