@TheAnfieldWrap I've been struggling to find any clips like this - most Everton vloggers cut our goals out. Heck even the Everton YouTube account wouldn't show replays of our goals.

@johnmerro1 @paulfinlay23903 So any foul would be outside the area. Glad you've acknowledge that it couldn't be a penalty.

@E_Z1ya @sidlowe @TheEllisScott @Matt5cott Have you actually read the tweets from Matt during the season are you surprised ? From ‘best club side the world has ever seen’ to ‘Max Dowman better than Lamine Yamal’ to ‘chronic underinvestment’ after nearly £1B spent under Arteta… all in under 6 months 👀

Have wondered about this. Here’s my theory: I think it’s sort of the opposite. But it is born, at least in part, in the place you’re talking about. I don’t think it’s love; I think it’s a kind of indifference. By which I mean, it’s like City don’t count and people — who see them (whether rightly or wrongly) as operating on a different plane and with different rules etc — are kind of resigned to them and have reached an acceptance. So, for fans of teams like, say, Liverpool or (even) United (despite being rivals in Manchester), if City win the league: shrug, yeah, whatever, what you gonna do? If this year Arsenal or in previous years Liverpool win the league — who you are competing with on the same level, who are your peers/challengers, for want of a better word, whose title win would be as good as yours would have been — it actually does hurt and it does mean something. It’s a “real” title win…and thus, by extension, a real title loss for your team. And I suspect that goes beyond just fans of those teams too to become more generalized. I know, I know, plenty of people will really dislike this, from both sides of the argument, and I might have to hide from the @s now as they all shout at me, but it’s about people’s perceptions and I reckon there’s something in that. Anyway, sorry: a long tweet. Just a theory.

@sidlowe @TheEllisScott @Matt5cott There's definitely an element of this, as you say City winning the League is almost meaningless. However I think it's a bit different with Arsenal. Arteta and a section of Arsenal fans, particularly the likes of Matt, are very dislikable.

@TheEllisScott @Matt5cott Put simply: the Man U fan loses the league to Liverpool or Arsenal and s/he hates it, and vice versa. They lose the league to City and: meh, fuck it.

@DaleJohnsonBBC Are the PL facing a very tricky situation in a couple of weeks when Liverpool play Chelsea? Obviously results have to go to plan over the next 2 rounds but there's a real possibility that it could benefit Chelsea to lose if it helps Liverpool finish above Villa.

Kobbie Mainoo controlled that game against extremely expensive midfielder. So good to see him back playing and developing.

@Jayc_Kop Definitely a Chelsea loss. Given our remaining games and form, we need as big of a buffer as possible.

Now get to sit back and watch Utd v Chelsea, as a Liverpool fan not sure what result is better for us, if Utd win we stay 4 pts clear of Chelsea but if Chelsea win we can go 3rd tomorrow (which is a mad thing to say) with a win vs Everton but a draw means both teams lose points.

@CalvLyfeson Yea, with Jones and Gomez probably going it becomes a massive issue for us.

@danhaddad86 @PaulSenior1 RB situation complicates things. We can't rely on Frimpong or Bradley to stay fit and equally, it's difficult to sign a RB when you've already got 2 senior RB's on the books and hard to see how you move one of them on. Gomez provides you cover there and CB.

@CalvLyfeson Reckon we sign 2 midfielders. Jones, Endo and maybe even Macca will leave.

Won't be signing a right back. Tsimikas comes back in. Will probably sign one midfielder. Hopefully a robust, energetic one. We'll probably sign 2 forwards. One which will hopefully be capable across the entire forward line. 3 to 4 signings plus Jacquet.
Braden (Fan) 🐦‍🔥@Braden_LFC

This summer window is looking mental. We genuinely need: - RB - Backup LB - 2 midfielders (CDM and an athletic 8) - LW - RW - Versatile forward The club need to fix this mess. No more excuses

@shornKOOMINS @GaryMerseybox I was never sold on him but I think how dysfunctional we've been hasn't helped. Our signings were tricky to understand and I can only think that the plan was a 4-4-2 diamond/box midfield with flying fullbacks but for varying reasons we've not been able to play it enough.

@GaryMerseybox I think he looks crap too. I'm trying not to overly judge any of them because the team is totally dysfunctional and Slot is doing an abysmal job. But there are very few positive signs with Frimpong.

Levels. We want everyone to succeed but fk me. Frimpong looks like one of our worst ever buys. There i said it. Fk me. We are so far behind its unreal. Like boxing. Its about levels. Attitude much better tonight but we simply aren’t good enough.

@CalvLyfeson The issues with the performance today were individual, not collective. A lot of what we done was very good but the finishing touches weren't there. Admittedly those finishing touches have been one of our issues all season.

The squad isn't built for what we want. No getting away from it. But it hasn't been helped by the manager's reluctance to use players. Even the ones he doesn't like could've been dropped into good sides here and there to give players a break. Didn't do it. Ignores youth mostly.
Jack@jkpkrn_

Almost like you need a deep squad of quality players to play two high intensity games a week. Injuries have plagued us but even without them we’ve left ourselves terribly short

I think part of the reason Liverpool look so ponderous in attack and have no creativity is because of the fella playing right back for Real Madrid tonight
