Tonight I will be requesting the following statement be released by the Walker County Georgia GOP. This is updated from a previous draft I released after feedback I received. “The Walker County GOP expresses grave disappointment in statements made by former President and current GOP candidate for President Donald J. Trump. In an interview with NBC’s Kristen Welker that aired on Meet The Press on Sunday, September 17th, Trump said some Republicans “speak very inarticulately” about abortion and have pursued “terrible” state-level restrictions that could alienate much of the country. Trump specifically called out Heartbeat legislation, referring to it as a “terrible mistake”. The Supreme Court of the United States handed down the Dobbs decision in June of 2022, returning to the states the authority to regulate abortion. Walker County GOP believes this was a miraculous win for life and reject calls by the former President to work with radical leftists to federalize and compromise on a fight Christian Conservatives worked tirelessly for 5 decades to achieve. On Tuesday May 7, 2019 Brian Kemp signed Georgia’s Heartbeat bill into law, and we are proud to have been a force in this fight as Georgia lead in setting the bar for states across the nation. Walker Country GOP will always fight for the abolishment of the barbaric practice of murdering the pre-born and we urge all county GOP organizations within the 14th Congressional District to join us in opposition to any attempts to weaken our abortion laws and to stand with us in our unwavering, uncompromising fight for human life.”

@Tamzilla_52 I should add, I think calling Trump a fascist only helps him. His voters don't care about what he says or how he acts because they believe he won't follow through with the threats. I didn't vote Trump because I believe he would be a disaster for America.

I do not believe the Atlantic story about Trump. I do not believe the latest “Trump groped me 31 years ago” story. I do not believe the General Kelly story. If the first one is true why did everyone who was there including the family say it wasn’t. If it was true she should have said something a long time ago. If this is true then General Kelly sat on this and didn’t even bring it up in 2020. Anyone who believes any of this is clearly not thinking critically about any of this.

Magadonians are extremely angry about people writing in DeSantis. I don’t know why. We told you we’d do this. And we’re supposedly insignificant anyway. Let people vote for whomever they want you freaking communists!

@ManicContrarian Jack Kemp understood tax policy and supply side economics better than any candidate since. He also was a very successful HUD leader for Bush senior. Disappointed he lost that primary though (I was not a Herbert Walker fan).

@Tamzilla_52 There are exceptions, but I agree with you. It is sometimes easy to forget that Jesus died for them too!! One reason we have such high recidivism rates with prison populations is because, once convicted, it is very difficult to become a participating member of society again.

As long as someone has completed their sentence and probation without a problem I think voting rights should be restored. It should be limited to those who are truly reformed and can function safely in society again though. I know this is an unpopular opinion in conservative circles but I think it’s right to do this.

@Tamzilla_52 @GrammarJedi01 I dislike Vance more than Trump. I have voted for the Republican in every election, every office, for over 40 years. Not this year. Harris winning does not concern me. I believe a Harris administration will be similar to Obama administration. Dont like it, but we will be fine.

Do I like Trump? Anyone who knows me knows I can’t stand the man and don’t think he ever should have been a nominee the first time around or the second and definitely not this time. I also will not ignore reality either. The truth is Harris will be a horrific disaster even if republicans take the senate and gain in the house. She will use the bureaucracies at her disposal to destroy this country like Obama did only on a larger scale. She is a full on communist. It’s not easy to make a good case for Trump but it is easy to make a case against her. I won’t tell you how to vote ever, you gotta do what ya gotta do. I probably won’t choose for sure till I walk into the booth but every day I see reasons to vote against her.

If you don’t live in a port city and watch the big ships roll in from everywhere importing food which is a good thing for global trade you’re missing out. It’s incredible. Doing business with the world creates more peace. I don’t know why people don’t understand this.

@Tamzilla_52 That would require compassion, concern for others and self sacrifice, traits which Trump completely lacks. What Trump can do is visit impacted areas, stand at a podium over looking disaster areas and drone on endlessly about how unfair life has been to him.

All trump would have to do to show solidarity with Helene victims is lead a fund raising effort and bring attention to those suffering. It doesn’t take much.
