@united cancelled my flight and the best option they had was an overnight flight with over a 12 hour delay. They denied my refund unlawfully 5 different times. Twice via text chat, once via email, and twice over the phone (see comments for photo proof). That’s not all 1/2…
@iamlandshark I originally had a little bit of an identity crisis. Telling people I was retired was awkward and not technically true. I eventually settled into telling people I was self-employed and was starting a business. That seemed to be ‘enough’ for those random conversations
@iamlandshark I left my structural engineering career earlier this year in June. While we were essentially FIREing, It was technically a transition into a side-gig. My in-laws were similarly concerned, but after seeing we are just fine 6 months later still, I don’t think there’s any concern

@SteveOnSpeed Great Video. Can I add a question, either for now or the next video? Would you have pulled the FIRE trigger sooner had you recognized your income earning potential once you left the 9-5?
@iamlandshark Awesome listen. I actually had a similar discussion on Mother's Day with the in-laws, although I'm not RE, I'm just transitioning from my engineering career to growing our side gig that I can't keep up with while having a career. Can you share more about your Roth Conversion SS?
