I am deeply disturbed by reports that a group of Jewish children returning to France after participating in summer camp, singing in Hebrew and wearing stars of David, were forcibly removed from their flight.
The Jewish community has faced prejudice and discrimination for millennia, and this act of antisemitism is intolerable. I will continue to do everything in my power to ensure the inclusion and safety of Jews around the world.

🚨✈️ EXCLUSIVE TESTIMONY FROM A PASSENGER ON VUELING FLIGHT VY8166 🇪🇸 50 French Jewish teenagers, aged 15, were expelled from a @vueling flight… because one of them simply said the word “Limot” (meaning “the days” in Hebrew), attempting (unsuccessfully) to start a summer camp song. There was no chanting, no shouting, no disruption. I collected the testimony of Damien, a neutral passenger who was on board with his daughter. His account directly contradicts the false and defamatory statement released by @vueling, which claimed to have acted in the name of passenger safety, even though that safety was never under threat. The children are described as polite and calm. I also received testimony from the family of the camp’s director, a 21-year-old woman who was violently thrown to the ground (see video), handcuffed, and then taken alone into a room with a police officer. The officer told her, in Spanish ( a language she understands ) that she would be banned from the country for two years, and proceeded to ask her a question about Israel ⁉️ This, despite the fact that she is a young French citizen supervising French Jewish children on a trip. Discreet and respectful, she simply stepped in, peacefully, when police demanded that the children delete the videos they had recorded on board. Yet in Spain, demanding the deletion of videos in such a context is illegal. It constitutes an obstruction of evidence and an unjustified pressure on foreign minors, outside any legal framework. These testimonies reveal a chilling truth. What happened here had nothing to do with safety. It was antisemitism at work. And even if the children had been slightly noisy (which they were not), it would never have justified such a violent expulsion. People tolerate football fans chanting, bachelor party shouting, and planes full of drunk festival-goers. But here, Jewish children were expelled for a single word in Hebrew. @vueling’s crew committed a serious wrong by targeting our children. A serious incident just occurred on a return flight of a Jewish summer camp group from Valencia, Spain:
The children were singing Jewish songs on the plane before takeoff.
The flight attendants and captain didn’t like it and wanted to search the children because they compared them to terrorists and wanted to remove them from the plane.
Allegedly, they implied that Israel is a murderous country, and singing Jewish songs means supporting Israel and a “murderous state”!
The camp counselor objected to the search and removal of the children, saying they had paid for their tickets. The flight crew attacked the counselor – beating her with batons!
The entire group was removed from the plane.
They took 50 children off the aircraft.
The Spanish National Police (Guardia Civil) arrived on the runway – they handcuffed the 21-year-old counselor.
They confiscated all phones and deleted the videos!
After that, they forced the counselor to sign a document committing not to publish any videos, or else she would be arrested.
The children will board another flight today at 19:50.

OK I have absolutely had enough of the denial. It is simply unacceptable at this stage and cannot continue. The overwhelming majority of the Jewish community is screaming from the rooftops that there is an antisemitism problem here and their voices are being talked over and censored at every turn by the political and media establishment.
This man says that the notion of Ireland being antisemitic is something that ‘I of course totally reject’ implying that Ireland’s perception in this regard is simply a nefarious plan by AIPAC to conflate opposition to Israel with antisemitism.
Everybody, would you please be so kind as to do me a favour: please comment underneath here detailing the antisemitism you have personally observed or experienced from Ireland. Preferably words or actions you have seen from politicians and media figures, but also interpersonal experiences would be appreciated.
As we know, legitimate criticism of Israel is not antisemitic and we are always at great pains to acknowledge that it is not. So I would appreciate you being very specific as to the nature of your observations and experiences: please explain cogently why this is antisemitic.
The ubiquitous denial in this country absolutely has to stop. Absolutely no one outside of Ireland is buying it, in the U.S. or elsewhere in Europe. Indeed I have spoken to many people who have said that this denial makes the reality of the problem significantly more apparent. This only serves to hurt the Irish Jewish community and keep the Irish population at large trapped in an echo chamber.
