Public transport isn’t meant to be profit-driven. After all, are roads and highways built for profit? These are essential services for a city, and the sooner we invest, the better for our future. Metro systems take time, but they eventually become viable once they expand and connect more areas.

So when some people say Puri Airport isn’t needed since it’s 60-70km away from Bhubaneswar, that logic doesn’t hold. Distance isn’t the deciding factor. Growth is.
