@NW_Realist @jsidman Our burger is the same price per ounce as the burger place on our block and $2 above average in Mt P. Keep in mind we make our own bun, use local farms, offer health insurance & got rid of tipped min. wage years ago. We don’t like math but we like our 47 employees & our farmers.

@EatAtElle @jsidman Good to know the 10% service charge you adopted is gone! That saves $0.25 in sales tax on the service charge, But you’ll likely tip the full 20% So we’re left with a $65 cheeseburger and fries dinner for two Before drinks (Vs $65.50 - bad math earlier)

Guava turnover is just as good as the day @EatAtElle opened. Plus an excellent blackberry pecan financier, weekend brioche doughnuts (yuzu honeydew this time), and the best bagel in DC. Seriously. Cream cheese with homemade jam satisfies the kids and kids at heart.

A nighttime visit to @EatAtElle, where I've spent many daylight hours. Finally got to try the signature kimchi toast 👍👍 Who knew broccoli could be so exciting? Chose two fancy sandwiches over an entree. Bbq tempeh upsets vindaloo chicken for the win - both available at lunch.
