Not that it matters at this point, but out of all the relievers in this bullpen, Seabold gets the axe? Strange roster moves in a strange season.
Wish the narrative wasn’t here already, but if a Tarik Skubal trade does end up happen this year, keep your eyes on Tampa Bay. They are under new ownership this year, and have to pieces to make a deal. Very good organizational depth as well as a comp pick at 33 that they recently acquired from Baltimore that they could trade to the Tigers before the draft to sweeten the pot. Tigers believe in their player evaluations so this would be ideal to bolster the farm with an organizational strength in selecting guys they have scouted long term.
The Tigers today placed RHP Burch Smith on the 15-day injured list with right shoulder inflammation. RHP Brenan Hanifee has been recalled from Triple-A Toledo.
