The UNESCO Tri-Chairs for Early Childhood Education, Care, and Development (ECD), with Prof. Alan Pence as the Chair-holder, was established in 2008 with a primary focus on the promotion of ECD capacity in sub-Saharan Africa (SSA).

I am sorry to pass on the sad news that Liz Brooker died on August 6th after a long illness. Liz made a huge contribution as an editor of Early Years and she was a wonderfully kind, witty and astute colleague.
