- Fun idea let’s ask it to argue the opposite.
- LLM demolishes the entire argument and convinces me that the opposite is in fact true.

The LLMs may elicit an opinion when asked but are extremely competent in arguing almost any direction. This is actually super useful as a tool for forming your own opinions, just make sure to ask different directions and be careful with the sycophancy.

@karpathy And this post is extremely convincing that this is a positive thing. Let’s prompt an LLM to argue the opposite: that the ability for LLMs to convince people of what’s true is going to be used to control human populations and eliminate the communal coherence humans need to thrive.

@deedydas There goes American tech competitiveness. This makes it super difficult for US to generate new companies, that generate so much of our wealth & competitive moat. Now we’ll train the best of the best and send them right back to their mother countries to build value there.
