🧵Sean Glennan of @Hut8Corp ($HUT) is the best CFO in the Data Center development/Bitcoin Mining industry and it is not even close. Two years ago, @AsherGenoot made the wise decision of hiring a tenured Citi banker as their new CFO and it is paying dividends. He worked at Citi for 13 years as Director of Investment Banking and then Managing Director - Power, Utilities and Renewables. Exactly the experience and pedigree you need for creative deal-making and first-of-its-kind financial engineering required to fund the massive infrastructure buildout, powering the AI revolution. 2/ His masterclass so far? The Riverbend deal ⚡ One of the cleanest, most capital-efficient data center transactions the industry has seen. - 15-year triple-net lease for 245 MW of AI-optimized capacity. - Google financial backstop. @AnthropicAI as their customer. Contract value: $ 7B base (up to $17.7B with renewals). - Right of First Offer (ROFO) for up to 1,000 MW of additional IT capacity at River Bend - Strategic partnership with Anthropic to develop up to 1,050 MW of additional optional capacity to scale across Hut 8’s development pipeline (NEARLY 10GW) beyond River Bend. 3/ Then the financing coup de grâce 💰 Last week Hut 8 closed $3.25 billion of investment-grade senior secured notes to fully fund the site. - First single-sponsor data center project ever to access the IG construction bond market. - J.P. Morgan as lead bookrunner, Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley as joint bookrunners. - No dilution. No parent guarantee. Non-recourse. No refinancing risk. - The 16.5-year fully amortizing structure is paid off entirely by contracted lease cash flows. 4/ Glennan didn’t stop at one deal. He’s reshaping the entire capital structure ⚙️ - Spun out Hut 8's legacy Bitcoin mining ops into majority owned public company @ABTC — providing crystal-clear focus for both entities. - Hut 8 holds 15,679 BTC with proactive, active treasury management (including covered calls to generate incremental income). - Secured a new $ 200M credit facility with FalconX at a fixed 7.0% rate — low-cost, non-dilutive capital with improved terms. 5/ Wall Street is noticing. 📈 Citizens just raised its price target on $HUT to $100 (from $65) and kept the Outperform rating. After meeting directly with Glennan, the firm’s confidence surged that Hut 8 is successfully pivoting from pure Bitcoin mining to high-margin infrastructure for hyperscalers and AI computing clients. And Arete Research reiterated a $136 price target on HUT 8. In an industry where capital access, deal structure, and balance-sheet discipline decide winners, Sean Glennan is operating at a different level. Creative, disciplined, and relentlessly focused on value creation. Exactly the kind of leadership required to build a +$100 billion company.

🚨 @Hut8Corp is quietly executing one of the best capital strategies in the sector 🚨 ⚡ Refinanced Bitcoin-backed credit facility — new $200 M facility with FalconX replaces prior Coinbase facility ⚡ Fixed rate cut to 7.0% from 9.0% — a 200 basis point improvement — cumulative reduction of up to 450 bps since 2023 ⚡ ~3,300 BTC unencumbered (~$260M as of May 1) — freed from collateral package and available for strategic deployment ⚡ Limited-recourse structure — recourse limited to pledged BTC only — no rehypothecation covenant protecting collateral ⚡ No loan-to-value ratchet mechanism triggered by BTC price declines — structural protection most facilities don't offer ⚡ FalconX Head of Credit: "Hut 8's credit profile has improved transaction over transaction — a combination uncommon among institutional borrowers in this market" CEO @ashergenoot: "This Facility advances our objectives: it continues the progression of improvement in our cost of debt and expands our position of unencumbered Bitcoin — a strategic asset that enhances our financial flexibility across market cycles" Lower cost of debt. More unencumbered BTC. Cleaner balance sheet. $HUT keeps executing while the market sleeps on it. Is $HUT building the most disciplined capital structure in digital infrastructure???

THE COMPUTE CAPACITY BOTTLENECK $GOOGL just admitted Google Cloud is leaving revenue on the table because it cannot build capacity fast enough with shifts the bottleneck to companies with the power, real estate & operational scale to deploy AI compute: 1. $NBIS building the AI-native cloud layer through vertically integrated GPU clusters & software optimized for training + inference. $NVDA just wrote wrote a $2B check & Nebius now has a $46B contracted backlog, anchored by ~$19B $MSFT deal & ~$27B Meta partnership through 2032. 2. $IREN building the renewable-powered AI compute layer by turning low-cost power into GPU cloud capacity. The pivot to AI cloud is now backed by a ~$10B $MSFT contract, 2.9 GW of grid-connected power expanding to 4.5 GW+ & targeted 140K GPU buildout that could drive $3.4B of ARR by year-end 2026. 3. $DOCN building the agentic inference cloud layer for developers & long-tail AI workloads. AI customer ARR is up 150% YoY to $120M, over 70% comes from inference services & $1M+ customer ARR is up 123% to $133M. 4. $CRWV building the dedicated AI cloud platform for frontier model developers. The company has ~$67B of contracted revenue backlog (nearly $88B including Anthropic) with major commitments from OpenAI & Meta. 5. $CIFR building the Google-backed AI data center layer through contracted power & hyperscale leases. Barber Lake has 300 MW fully contracted with Fluidstack (Google backstops $1.4B with a ~5% equity stake) and AWS signed a separate $5.5B 15-year deal for another 300 MW of capacity. 6. $WULF building the power-backed AI compute layer through long-term data center leases. Lake Mariner has 360 MW tied to Fluidstack backed by a $3.2B Google guarantee & new Abernathy JV adds 168 MW over 25 years representing $9.5B in contracted revenue with $1.3B of Google lease support. 7. $APLD building the purpose-built AI data center layer through its Polaris Forge 1 campus in North Dakota. The full 400 MW critical IT load is contracted to CoreWeave under ~15-year leases worth ~$11B in expected revenue with first 100 MW delivered in Q4 2025 & another 300 MW targeted through 2027.

@Hut8Corp is completely underated and mispriced in the AI infrastructure buildout convo. They have nearly 10 GW of energy capacity! They are currently building River Bend, a 245 MW campus, along with up to 2,295 MW of additional AI data center infrastructure for @AnthropicAI and @fluidstack with a Google backstop.

@JohnTinsman Agree. Also last quarter cpu prices were up 15 to 20 percent year to year. Intel revenue grew 7 percent implying it's shrinking in volume and share in the updraft

$AMD Verse $INTC: The CPUs and Foundries In one of my last posts, I argued the AMD should be doing better than Intel YTD as I believe AMD makes a much better CPU chip for agentic AI than $INTC. 1) AMD CPUs offer higher core/thread density. 2) AMD's EPYC shows 1.1–1.9x gains over comparable Intel Xeon in relevant workloads 3) Market momentum: Surging demand for AMD's EPYC in agentic AI (hyperscalers, enterprises) show customers prefer AMD as the company continues to gain market share in CPUs 4) AMD's chips are significantly more energy efficient, and this matters a ton when you run them at scale at full capacity. Now many of my commenters said it was all about the Foundry. However, I do not believe having $TSM make the CPUs for AMD is a weakness, rather a strength. TSM has an enormously profitable foundry business and is building hundreds of billions worth of manufacturing capacity in the United States. Meanwhile, Intel's foundry business loses tens of billions, showing it is deeply uncompetitive on a world stage. Commentors though Intel having their own foundry business would mean they would be able to ramp up output much faster than AMD, but I believe it actually means the opposite, it could hamstring their output and allow AMD to steal even more market share.

Are you ever trapped in your own thoughts!?! This is for you.
🧬Maxpein🧬@maximumpain333

Carl Jung wrote: "The more intelligent and self-aware a person is, the more they suffer from the general unconsciousness of society." This is not a badge of honor. It is a recognition of the weight carried by those who cannot unsee what they have already seen. This is the psychology of the deep thinker and if you recognize yourself here, this one is for you: The architecture of alienation. It starts early. The child who asks why adults say one thing and do another. The one whose questions are always labeled as "overthinking." Nietzsche described these people as "free spirits" — essential for progress, but wandering in a wilderness everyone else refuses to enter. Research by Dr. Elaine Aron suggests approximately 20% of the population processes information more deeply and notices subtleties others completely miss. In a world that rewards speed, this depth can feel like a disability. The frequency of truth. Deep thinkers operate on a different wavelength, the frequency of truth rather than the frequency of comfort. Most people live without ever questioning the fundamental assumptions of their own existence. But the deep thinker has glimpsed behind the veil. Like Plato's prisoner who escapes the cave and returns to share what he saw only to be rejected and called a troublemaker—the deep thinker carries the burden of the witness. They see the masks, the exploitation, and the pain that everyone else has agreed to ignore. The emotional sponge. Deep thinkers do not just observe emotions, they absorb them. They feel the anxiety of a stranger as if it were their own. They perform enormous amounts of invisible emotional labor — checking in on people, listening, supporting, acting as the unofficial therapist of every room they enter. And yet the relationship is almost always asymmetric. They give at a depth most people cannot match. They live with the quiet loneliness of being the strong one, the one everyone leans on, but no one thinks to ask: "Are you okay?" The mask of normalcy. To survive, many deep thinkers learn to wear a mask, laughing at jokes they do not find funny, feigning interest in conversations that feel hollow, modulating their intensity to avoid being too much. This is not deception. It is survival. But the cost is enormous. Maintaining the split between the complex private self and the simple public self is exhausting. And the mask, while protective, makes true connection nearly impossible. You cannot be fully known while hiding. The wounded healer. Jung wrote about this archetype; the person who transforms their own brokenness into a source of healing for others. The wounds of rejection and misunderstanding become sources of deep compassion. The person who has felt most unseen becomes the most gifted at seeing others. But the challenge is learning to give without emptying yourself completely, to love others without losing yourself in the process. The alchemy of solitude. For deep thinkers, there is a crucial distinction between loneliness and solitude. Loneliness is the pain of disconnection from others. Solitude is the joy of connection with yourself. In solitude, the deep thinker finally breathes. The noise of the world falls away. The internal landscape becomes clear. Isolation transforms into introspection and that is where the real work happens. The revolutionary act of authenticity. In a world that profits from insecurity, choosing to be genuinely yourself is a radical act. When a deep thinker chooses authenticity over performance, it creates space for others to do the same. It gives people permission to be real in a culture that rewards shallow. If you recognize yourself in any of this, stop apologizing for your depth. You are not broken. You are not too much. You are not too sensitive. You are awake in a world that prefers to stay asleep. Your sensitivity is a superpower. Your intensity is a strength. ✨🙌🏾💫

Grateful to FundMomentum.vc for the feature on @ACTAIVentures and spotlighting two of our first investments: Sovereign Green Compute and @icme_xyz . Even cooler moment…@BusinessInsider Australia picked up our LinkedIn post and covered Sovereign Green Compute’s funding yesterday as well 🇦🇺⚡️ “TL;DR: ACTAI Ventures, the venture firm co-founded by Amanda Terry and legendary operator-VC Bill Tai, has quietly held a first close on its Unicorn Fund III and already put capital to work in two thesis-defining deals: Sovereign Green Compute, a renewable-powered sovereign AI compute build-out in Western Australia, and ICME, a crypto-native tokenized equity marketplace backed alongside Binance Labs. The fund extends the network-driven, sub-$15M-entry playbook that turned Bill Tai into an early backer of Canva, Zoom, Dapper Labs, and Treasure Data.” 🔗 in comments
