Research fellow @unimelb @qaecology helping to develop a Victorian Biodiversity Index | PhD using #eDNA to monitor vertebrates, specifically platypus | she/her

In incredible news, our preprint (ecoevorxiv.org/repository/vie…) has now been downloaded >7500 times from EcoEvoRXiv in the last week! We show that ecological results are very sensitive to who analyses the data and how they do it.

When many different researchers analyze the same data, results vary .... A LOT! Our Many-Analysts study from ecology and evo-bio is FINALLY up on @ecoevorxiv doi.org/10.32942/X2GG62 Thanks to the HUNDREDS of researchers who made this study possible.

Platypuses are hard to spot in the wild, but their DNA helps researchers track their presence and disappearance Here, @EcoEmcg + @andrewrweeks (@UniMelb) sampled 118 rivers + creeks before and after the Black Summer bushfires, searching for platypus DNA. #Echobox=1696370968-1" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">theconversation.com/even-platypuse…

Calling all early career ecologists 📢@ #ESAus23. Come along to our Early Career Pathways Forum Tues 3.30 Meeting Rm2! If you could ask an established ecologist about their career, what aspect would be of most interest?

Pretty special to graduate with my best friend and twin yesterday @EcoEmcg 👯♀️🎓 We started our PhDs on the same day so it was a wonderful to complete this journey together. #womeninSTEMM @UniMelb @SciMelb
