I scaled a brand with no paid marketing to 8 figures. 23m subs on YouTube. We are probably one of the top 5 brand accounts on the entire platform by organic reach. I exited that brand last year. Let me tell you - ads are leverage. I thought it was amazing that we could get so big without paid media. If we had figured out paid media and were in a larger category it would have been a 100x bigger outcome. Nothing converts as well as a great ad. And people don’t hate ads. They hate bad ads. Low effort ads. A good organic video can be repurposed as an ad. And that ad will bring joy into millions of people’s lives.

A brand spending $1.2M a month on Meta just switched to us. They were paying their last agency 3.5% of spend. $42,000 a month in agency fees. And here's the problem with that model nobody talks about. When your agency gets paid a percentage of what you spend, they don't get paid to be efficient. They get paid to spend. Every time they pitch you on scaling budget they make more money. Every time they talk you out of pulling back on a bad month they make more money. The incentive is never aligned with your business. We run a flat retainer. Fixed cost every month regardless of what you spend. If we scale you from $500K to $1.2M you pay us the same. That means when we push you to scale it's because the numbers actually justify it. Not because our invoice does. Your agency fee should be a fixed line on your P&L. Not a variable cost that grows every time someone logs into ads manager. This makes it extremely difficult for any brand to grow profitably, which should be the number one goal of the growth agency you hire. Not to watch their own invoice scale with your budget.

@EcomUnfiltered That's still half the picture imo, if the cvr improves, cpa won't increase even with a higher CPM, but higher CPM means less people see your ads, visit your website, enter your email lists.. That's why I said NC (total) revenue since I find higher CPMs at scale lower halo effect

@EcomUnfiltered The longer people watch, the better they remember the brand and product which can help when you’re showing them different ads. So it’s hard to measure the impact of thumbstop on ad account performance imo

No manual invoices arriving either, can't go back to our previous setup either. Our rep is unresponsive & support has not answered us since March 18th we're lost, can anyone help please?
