Now the dust has settled on the Gaffer debate the next issue is recruitment. Evident the current lot were identified on the basis of flimsy data. They lack so much of the basic DNA required to be a footballer. With the return of DM I hope it’s also a return to the eyeball test.

Just a thought but maybe Aberdeen fans should give Stephen Robinson a fucking chance? He’s a brilliant manager who will, given just a wee bit of patience, get your club back challenging at the top end of the table and he’ll have every single player running through a brick wall for the badge on the shirt. Don’t believe the pathetic narrative about his style of play either. With the budget Aberdeen have he will get you playing some great stuff, but you MUST allow him a Summer rebuild before judging. Cry all you want today, but you’ll be deleting those tweets in six months time.

@RaeComm I think a better example of it meaning little (or subjective) our fans were forced to pick between, for example A. A bundesliga manager with a 40% win rate Or B. A Moldovan league manager with a 60% win rate. Is the Moldovan league manager better because of win rate?

The best example of why win rates mean little is Vincent Kompany. If you judged his work at Burnley (got them relegated) purely by numbers, he would never have got the Bayern job. But Bayern saw a fit on a style & emotional level. They’re glad they ignored win rates.
