🚨 SHOCKING! EastEnders legend Shane Richie hauled away in cuffs after explosive late-night meltdown at Tesco petrol station 🚔 cops nick him for alleged drink-driving after he told staff to “fck off” 🤬 EastEnders star Shane Richie, 62, better known as cheeky chappie Alfie Moon, has been arrested and charged with drink-driving after a fiery confrontation at a Tesco garage in Harlow, Essex. Just after 11pm on Wednesday 29 July, the actor pulled onto the empty forecourt in a white Hyundai that appeared to have a flat tyre. Staff spotted him (in a red baseball cap, blue sweatshirt, shorts and grey sliders) and challenged him over what they believed was an e-cigarette, warning that vaping on the forecourt was dangerous. What followed was captured on shocking video obtained by The Sun. Richie, real name Shane Roche, insisted “It’s not smoking, it’s a vape”, then snapped “What, you’re filming me? All right, I’m going to film you.” Walking back to his car he claimed “This is not a vape”, before snarling “Yeah, I don’t give a fck” when staff warned of the risk. The manager later told police he’d grown aggressive and continued vaping. Staff called the cops, reporting a suspected drink-driver. Essex Police arrived shortly before 11.20pm, arrested him on the spot, and have now authorised a drink-driving charge. He’s due to appear at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on 9 September. The soap favourite, who’s played Alfie on and off since 2002, has previously spoken about therapy for his temper and claimed he barely touches alcohol.
