Jordan and Delroy Lindo were presenting the award for best visual effects. After the incident, the academy released a statement, saying that John Davidson, the man who shouted the N word at Jordan and Lindo, "chose to leave the auditorium and watch the rest of the ceremony from a screen, and we would like to thank him for his dignity and consideration of others, on what should have been a night of celebration for him." The BBC, which aired the awards ceremony, later apologized in a statement as well. It did not, however, address why the slur was not immediately removed from the broadcast.

Honestly, probably the best halftime show I've ever seen. Wonderful production, beautifully acted and photographed. I don't speak Spanish, and all he said in English was, "God bless America." But that was plenty. What a happy surprise. A great show.

This could be 100% natural gas -- which is 50% cleaner -- but New York has twice nixed pipelines that could carry clean, inexpensive natural gas to New England.
