If you bought $NKE exactly 10 years ago…
You’re sitting on a -25% ROI 😅
While the S&P500 ripped higher
Nike peaked. Brand is stale. Exec team lost the plot. Sales sliding. China bleeding
The only thing they still nail: “Just Do It”
“Just Do It” and sell your shares
Who’s still holding this zombie?

$NKE just joined the Dogs of the Dow — and history says that’s actually bullish.
The Dogs strategy (popularized in Beating the Dow, 1992) is simple: buy the 10 highest-yielding Dow stocks every January. High yield on a blue-chip = price beaten down, NOT the dividend getting cut. Mean reversion does the rest.
Nike entered 2026 as a Small Dog at $63.71. Stock has since fallen ~33% YTD, pushing the yield toward 3.8% — historically elevated for NKE. The cheaper it gets, the louder the signal.
Here’s why the setup is compelling:
→ Elliott Hill’s “Win Now” turnaround is gaining traction
→ Q4 FY25 beat estimates by $373M
→ $9.2B cash on hand, returned $2.3B to shareholders last year
→ 24 consecutive years of dividend increases
→ World Cup 2026 is a massive brand catalyst incoming
The Dogs portfolio beat the S&P 500 in 2025 (18.9% vs 17.9%). NKE at max pessimism, with a turnaround CEO and the world’s biggest sporting event on the horizon, is exactly the kind of trade the strategy was built for.
@grok is there anything else that’s bullish that I am missing?
