@i_shuai @arsenalbabe_ Tell the NADECO icon to release Osun LGA funds, tell him to allow INEC to operate freely. Tell him to stop suspending a fully elected governor to please his stooges. Tell him to stop thuggery even in Lagos. Cut the Pretence and stop gaslighting people. We stand by Obi's tweet

I have left politics Twitter since 2023 but this NADECO issue might tempt me back. That we have gotten to a point where we are now comparing the worse administration between Tinubu and Abacha tells you all that you need to know about how appalling Tinubu’s government has been. Since 2023, do you know how many people lost their lives in Nigeria under Tinubu? No way you want to tell me that more people lost their lives under Abacha. No way! Bring the stats! Today, people can’t even travel by road again in Nigeria because of the fear of kidnapping and fulani herdsmen. It was never this bad under Abacha, no way! My cousin was posted to the North by NYSC and the family have agreed that she’s not going. Things are that bad!

@FolushoxFolarin @PeterObi Pa Ayo Adebanjo of blessed memories knew that the actions and behaviors of the wolf in sheep clothing in Aso rock is far from what NADECO stood for. There's a sharp difference in that. You guys can cry and twist the narrative for all you care. Obi merely reminded us.

When Pa Ayo Adebanjo who was one of the founding members of NADECO and Afenifere supported @PeterObi with his blood, sweat and tears during the 2023 election, Peter didn’t know Abacha was more democratic than Pa Adebanjo’s NADECO? When NADECO was fighting Abacha tooth and nail to restore democracy, was Peter Obi not going for meetings with Abacha and receiving appointments? When Pa Adebanjo rallied his NADECO machinery for your 2023 election, you didn’t know they were undemocratic? When you were visiting NADECO chieftains up and down for their endorsement, you didn’t know NADECO was undemocratic? Today you now want to insult and slander the group that fought for this country to return to democracy? I am certain Pa Ayo Adebanjo will be rolling in his grave at this statement. But we are here, we will make sure Peter Obi understands the implication of his statement.

Obi could have said "Abacha is a better democrat than Tinubu" and trust me he won't have had half this backlash. But he deliberately challenged NADECO, a symbol of democratic legitimacy linked to figures like Bola Ahmed Tinubu. By doing that, he wasn’t just criticizing history; he was questioning whether past pro-democracy credentials should still define political credibility today. The backlash isn’t just about what he said, but about him confronting a deeply protected narrative. When you question NADECO, you’re not just critiquing a group; you’re challenging the moral capital of an entire political lineage. This is a costly mistake no right thinking Nigerian politician should make. Statements like this will naturally end your political career and damage your political capital with the political class.

@ObasaSanmi @osazenoo @haforlaby777 Oga, no matter how you spin and twist the narrative, they are worst off. They have destroyed the very democracy they claim to have fought for. The "Emilokon" cliche wasn't going to come by votes like Alakat but by "grabbing" in their own words. Obi only merely reminded us...

Apart from being an agent of maximum dictator Abacha and his disciple and beneficiary, Peter only vomited the disdain for June 12, late President Abiola, NADECO, Yoruba leaders and Yoruba that had been on his chess for decades. Unfortunately for him NADECO was pan Nigeria with leaders like late Admiral Ndubuisi Kanu and Commodore Dan Suleiman as prominent champions. What he said was not an accident at all and it’s lost on many of us. He was very confident to open his chess because he knew the company he belongs to is peopled by anti June 12 and anti NADECO. Take the leading members of Atiku Democratic Party one by one and examine their role in June 12 and the struggle for democracy in Nigeria starting with their chairman David Mark who threatened to kill Abiola the elected president and the symbol of democracy. Atiku’s ADC’s real name is Anti Democracy Party. They stand for everything NADECO warred against. Their troubles have just started because those leaders who Peter desecrated will respond to him and the contraption he belongs to from beyond.

The best way for the ADC to escape this trap by Tinubu and INEC is for Sen. David Mark and Aregbesola to step aside and allow the old ADC leadership, led by former National Chairman Ralph Nwosu, to take over and lead the convention, as they are 100% with us. We should not expect justice from the Judiciary or INEC; we must find a way to survive them. We are running out of time. This is my opinion, correct me if I'm wrong.

@MaisheraTM @Szymansk_ii It's not about FAAC but d will and intent 2 drive quality infrastructure . Many states don't get much frm FAAC but get fat sum from IGR. Plus, you can't compare d cost of construction b/w d N n S. The Marshy and Swampy nature of d S makes it capital intensive n requires quality

Akwa Ibom State and other oil producing states in the Niger Delta region have a special federal allocation. These funds allow them to invest in infrastructure projects like roads and other key economic development compared to their counterparts in other regions like the north that is largely agrarian. Insecurity has also made it almost impossible for farmers to gain access to their farmlands.

You're an idiot, Peter. When Tinubu, whom you're trying to throw shade at, was fighting for the democracy you're enjoying today, you were busy mingling with Abacha, your boss, and that was when you made the most money of your life. He ran into exile while fighting for Nigeria, but you were in Nigeria eating fat from the oppressors called Abacha. You're a fake person, Peter. Everything about you is FAKE!!
Peter Obi@PeterObi

Yesterday defenders of democracy, today's destroyers, What a shame. What an irony of history, that the acclaimed defenders of democracy and human rights who claimed to have fought for democracy during the era of General Sani Abacha now find themselves worse than the man they opposed. Today, General Sani Abacha, once presumed face of oppression, will be remembered as seemingly more democratic and more respectful of human rights than the so-called champions of activism from the NADECO days. Power indeed reveals character. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

Journalists and members of the public have continued to reach out to me, seeking clarity on whether the Office of the National Security Adviser (NSA) had any role in my arrest. Given the level of public interest and speculation, I consider it necessary to restate the facts clearly and explicitly, based strictly on my personal experience. On March 6, 2026, I was picked up by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) at NEPA Roundabout in Kaduna. The arrest was sudden, and no explanation was provided at the point of arrest. The following day, I was transferred to Abuja, a move I understand was carried out on the directive of the DSS Director-General. Throughout my arrest and detention, I was never informed—either directly or indirectly—that the National Security Adviser or his office ordered or had any involvement in my arrest. At no point was the NSA mentioned in connection with the decision to detain me. In fact, from everything I could ascertain, the Office of the NSA was not even aware of my situation at the time it happened. Efforts were made from different quarters to secure my release, but they did not yield immediate results. The turning point came only when my friend reached out to an official within the NSA’s office. That official intervened by engaging the DSS leadership, and from that moment, there was a clear and immediate shift in how my case was handled. I may not have full insight into the internal discussions that followed, but the process of my release became more responsive, more structured, and ultimately led to my freedom. During this period, I found the DSS as an institution to be professional in its conduct and respectful of due process and my rights throughout my detention. It is important to underline a simple but critical point: it defies logic to suggest that the same office that allegedly ordered my arrest would then facilitate or support efforts to secure my release. My experience points to the opposite. The intervention I witnessed was not that of an office acting against me, but one that contributed to the resolution of my situation and my eventual release. Much of what has circulated publicly has been based on assumption rather than fact. This account is not speculation—it is drawn directly from what I experienced. I remain grateful to everyone who reached out, showed concern, and stood by me during this period. Your support meant a great deal. Sani Buhari. (Sarki Waspapping). 01/04/2026.

✅ Your Governor is a Christian. ✅ The Deputy Governor is a Christian. ✅ 21 Commissioners are all Christians. ✅ 9 Directors across ministries are all Christians. ✅ 20 of the Governor's special advisers are Christians. ✅ 99.9% of the 8 Security Agencies are dominated by Christians. ✅ Heads of all the security agencies are Christians. ✅ The majority religion is Christianity. ✅ The minority religion is Islam. YET YOU CLAIMED MUSLIMS ARE KILLING YOU. I don't think there is any human with rational thinking who will believe that. My advice to Muslims of Plateau State is that I think it's high time you stood up and fought for your rights. Get yourself into politics. Stop this nonsense mentality of saying, "We left the political offices for them for peace to reign." Get yourself a better candidate who will protect your lives because, from the way things are going, these people will never allow you to rest. They slaughtered travelers, but they were pardoned. They slaughtered themselves and still push the blame on you, seeking their government to prosecute you, even though most of them testify that the perpetrators are unknown. But when the culprits are caught and it happens that they are Christians, they turn a blind eye because it doesn't fit their narrative. Why are they not saying anything about the Reverend Father arrested for supplying firearms to terrorists?📌 What happened to the church treasurer who kidnapped his pastors along with his friends?📌 What happened to the pastor who hired people to kill the Governor's father?📌 What happened to the killers of General Alkali Ali? 📌 What happened to the killers of the 26 Maulud travelers in 2021? 📌 What happened to the killers of the Zaria wedding travelers in 2024? 📌 What happened to the killers of 5 Muslim traders killed during fasting in 2026? 📌 What happened to the killers of 5 Muslims killed in a filling station?📌 May Allah be with the Muslims of Plateau State and Nigeria 🇳🇬
