We have to live with the consequences of protests whereas you can return to your home country at any time.

An awful feature of using immigration decisions to suppress or punish political speech is that it requires essentially no due process -- a terrible precedent, no different from how ICE & CBP are now policing the speech of US visitors & visa holders.

From 2020-2025, more than 57k Malaysians renounced their citizenship to become Singapore citizens while Singapore averages 1.2k annually. Malaysians talents are leaving to Singapore. Happy earning ringgit while seeing Singapore attracts global talents around the world

At least Singapore doesn’t revoke Fadiah’s PHD from the NUS. The country certainly has the right to bar any foreign visitor, consistent with its’ non-interference policy. Malaysia has the same rights on Singaporeans. Nothing to read further. Pergilah Batam.

I’ve been banned from entering Singapore & was just deported to Malaysia. I asked immigration to provide the grounds for the ban/deportation, but they said they could not disclose them. It’s stunning bcs I stayed there for 5 years & was conferred a doctoral degree on 31 January.
