Que interesante, aunque yo creo que un factor determinante y que permite al gobernante democrático extraer la mayor cantidad posible es la falta de transparencia no crees? Aunque hay intentos, por ejemplo creo que hoy en dia las licitaciones y hasta donde va el dinero es accesible no? No tengo idea el nivel de detalle pero eso seria un primer paso, ahora que eso sea accesible no significa que cualquier persona tendría el valor para ir a investigar irregularidades y exponerlas porque estaría sola ante cualquier autoridad que obvio tendría mas poder y se expone a retaliaciones. Por otro lado, en Reino Unido esta lo del shadow cabinet, eso no seria una forma de mitigar en democracias modernas?

Muchos no van a estar de acuerdo pero... La democracia no es el opuesto de la tiranía. Es su forma más sofisticada. Bajo una monarquía, el gobernante al menos tiene incentivos de propietario, cuida el territorio porque es suyo y lo hereda. Puede ser brutal, pero la lógica de la preferencia temporal alta lo limita, destruir su propio capital es destruir su herencia. La democracia elimina esa restricción. El gobernante democrático es un custodio temporal con horizonte de cuatro años. No es dueño del aparato estatal, es su usuario. Y como todo usuario que no soporta el costo de la depreciación, su incentivo racional es extraer el máximo valor en el menor tiempo posible. No conserva, consume. No invierte, redistribuye. No planifica a largo plazo porque no hay largo plazo para él. Hoppe lo formuló correctamente, la democratización no fue un avance de la civilización sino una transferencia del poder estatal desde propietarios con incentivos de conservación hacia administradores temporales con incentivos de saqueo. Los datos confirman el patrón. Desde la expansión democrática del siglo XX, la deuda pública como porcentaje del producto se multiplicó en todas las democracias occidentales. La carga tributaria creció de forma sostenida. La moneda fue degradada sistemáticamente tras el abandono del patrón oro. La burocracia se expandió sin interrupciones relevantes independientemente del partido en el poder. Y sin embargo, cuestionar la democracia se considera casi un delito intelectual. Esa es precisamente su genialidad como mecanismo de dominación, convence al expropiado de que es soberano. Le da un voto cada cuatro años y le quita el cuarenta por ciento de su ingreso todos los días. El esclavo que elige a su amo sigue siendo esclavo, pero ahora defiende sus cadenas porque las eligió. La propiedad privada no necesita validación democrática. Los derechos no se votan. Si tres de cada cinco personas deciden que pueden tomar tu casa, eso no es voluntad popular, es robo con mayoría simple.

Watch @MurrLincoln break down Pectra’s EIP-7251, which increases the MAX_EFFECTIVE_BALANCE while keeping the 32 ETH minimum stake, optimizing validator efficiency. By raising the staking limit from 32 ETH to 2,048 ETH, validators can consolidate and reduce redundant validators, improving network efficiency. This change: → Reduces network overhead by lowering the number of validators, cutting down peer-to-peer (P2P) messages and aggregation of its signature scheme (known as BLS). → Enables solo stakers to compound rewards and stake in flexible increments rather than waiting to accumulate 64 ETH for a second validator like they have to now. → Allows large operators to run fewer validators, minimizing the infrastructure requirements. To adapt to these changes, Coinbase is enhancing its validator infrastructure by introducing a batch deposit contract, allowing more flexible staking amounts beyond the 32 ETH requirement.
