I’m from Punjab, from a farming community, and I’ve never seen farmers bring a dhol to the fields and celebrate like this. Sadly, farmers are distressed in the mandis, waiting for procurement—central agencies first take samples before purchasing the wheat 🌾 Another setback for farmers is the weather conditions, Compensation & relaxation for wheat Procurement should be given to Punjab as well like other states. In the end, farmers may be happy, but not like this.

For last four years, 1158 young professors & librarians have been protesting for station allocation, and one of them died by suicide, holding Pb Edu Min @harjotbains responsible for her death. Y’day, when they went to Patiala to peacefully protest against CM @BhagwantMann, they were beaten by police, & 80 of them were dragged to police station. In Gujarat, @ArvindKejriwal speaks about police atrocities against AAP volunteers, but in Panjab, his own government has turned state into a police state. @ravish_journo @dhruv_rathee
