@Graff2023 @HowSenChong Hi Brian- I was born less than a kilometer from Maple Leaf Gardens, and just north of the boundary of the old town of York. I'm fine with the name. If you don't like it, maybe you should be the one who leaves.

Those names evolved naturally because of contact with the aboriginal peoples who lived there and had names for them... but we also picked names like York, Kingston, Hamilton and Windsor. Names should have some meaning to the people who have to live with them, not be chosen by a committee to please people who have left the area.

A lot of people against this name seem to have given zero thought to where the words 'Toronto', ‘Ontario', and 'Canada' come from.
