🚨⏰🔔😳‼️😳🔔⏰🚨 How much ongoing regulatory training do academic professors need every year? After completing many hours of CITI training for clinical research/hospital with 16 modules on different topics with a detailed module on different types of COI (including COI outside the conduct of clinical research), now I need to complete overdue COI training for academic department/university. How much COI training is needed with ongoing disclosure requirements and oversight in place. Our academicians especially physician-scientists need to be able to do their work and not be constantly asked to repeat training on a never ending list of topics. Much time is already spent on grant writing in an often futile cycle due to low funding rates and limited resources. Grant reporting has also gotten more complex and time-consuming.
