House Speaker Mike Johnson has filed a motion with the Committee on Rules and Procedures to begin the process of restricting or removing Democrat Maxine Waters's vote.
"Congresswoman Waters hasn't been in the House chamber in months," Johnson wrote, "Yet her vote is always registered. It's time to eliminate the procedural loophole that allows that to happen."
Voting by proxy was a rule added by Democrats during the COVID-19 pandemic that gave them the ability to work less and fundraise more.
"That rule needs to go so we don't have zombies voting from a rocking chair three thousand miles away."

How will life improve if Democrats win the midterms? People need some perspective. Or actually we don’t. Look at Virginia. Taxes went up and they are banning guns. That will happen nationwide, and much worse, if Democrats win.

The Virginia public school district that allowed a 19-year-old illegal immigrant to enroll in high school and sexually assault multiple girls is now paying a global law firm to “investigate” the crimes and offer legal advice, according to records obtained by Judicial Watch. The big league firm, the state’s largest, is billing taxpayers up to $1,850 an hour to tame blowback ignited by the scandal, which involves Fairfax High School in northern Virginia, a Washington D.C. suburb.

Gov. Glenn Youngkin says Abigail Spanberger ran as a moderate but governed far left, accusing her of weakening public safety, raising costs, and embracing gerrymandering:
