This is an X account I made to be able to comment and engage with things across the pond without them getting mixed up with my professional life.

@coco_0067 Nah, this anime is also very into sports scenes and that's where most of the budget went.

@Hill9000C @snuppydogg Effort isn't what makes the difference, a high effort message actually has a much higher chance of giving women the ick because it's usually long. Short but with a personalized note is best, preferably something that's funny or distinctive.

@snuppydogg "hey we should go on a date" .1% chance of working, zero effort Some beautiful opening message that perfectly references their profile .2% chance of working, high effort That's why so many guys go for the first!

@cryeyesviolet_ The heat pump was invented in Europe, actually. By an Austrian in the 19th century.

@ShitpostRock2 Awful take from the radfem OP, who neither understands nor has to deal with straight relationships herself. Thinks dating disabled women fetishizes them, while not dating them is ableism - We should ignore women like OP, who are just misandrists speaking in bad faith.

@kthsnwoo The US has coastal areas with high humidity as well. They just have ACs. Get an AC, you'll love it. One of those crappy mobile ones from the Lidl will work just fine if you plug up the window around the hose.

@Porkchop_EXP You're right, having no AC in Europe is a choice, not a financial issue. Sure, window mounted units aren't usually allowed by landlords here and mobile ones are loud af. But People here mostly seem to think ACs are for pussies. That's the main reason.

The weirdest thing about the “europoor no AC” discourse is that there is AC everywhere in Southern and Eastern Europe so this is obviously not a financial issue. It is an ideological issue in Northwestern Europe, which is admittedly even funnier.

@MomsPostingLs One woman calls for a ban on women under 35 in education, the other tries to explain why it's happening without externalizing blame. Sounds like taking accountability to me. The theory is actually interesting too.

@tsumugi_meow Since 2010, a small but very loud movement has risen in the West that has pushed anti-natalist, anti-family and pro-immigration policies very hard. Because of that, ads showing a normal, two-parent, happy families are now very rare in the West. We are happy Japan is still okay.

そういえばこれ何で海外で炎上したの? 普通に家族でマクドナルド食べてるだけだよ。 当時不思議だったんだけど、今なら海外フォロワーさんいるから聞ける。
Way of the World@wayotworld

This ad from McDonalds Japan has been causing a huge reaction online, because portraying a happy white family enjoying time together is now pretty much an act of hate speech the West. How far we have fallen - and how fast.

@elonmusk @NICKIMINAJ what are you doing? This man is the biggest racist ever. Google what he’s doing in Tennessee to the black people. This man is a terrible idiot. Even Trump said he’s a drug addict

@Frid45 As a Terra Invicta player, unifying Europe sounds great to me. But I suspect things will need to get a whole lot worse before the idea actually gains public support. The EU's bureaucracy is currently largely in the hands of leftists and that's a no-go.

“ Make us sovereign, and the only way to do it is together. From Portugal to Ukraine, Let’s create the United States of Europe!“ The choice for Europeans is simple: federate or perish. And I am convinced Europeans will choose to unite Europe. 🇪🇺🇪🇺

@plitter86 In terms of nationality and culture she's Norwegian, in terms of ethnicity she's Eritrean. Which of those matters more largely depends on your political leanings. Though I'm anti-immigration, I think high functioning, well integrated immigrants like her are of least concern.

@IMAO_ It's not really about nominal race, it's about appearance. Xena's Helen of Troy looks like she could have been from the Aegean, Nolan's Helen of Troy looks like she's from Sub-Saharan Africa. The latter is incongruous with the story's setting, the former isn't.

Interestingly, Xena Warrior Princess had a black Helen of Troy thirty years ago, but race wasn’t a big deal back in the 90s.

@varien This does sound like a case of transference, yeah. Though whether or not the attraction was already there or not at the start is a crucial thing to ask; Because men and women of the same age can of course develop genuine attraction towards each other.

this is erotic transference, but what it actually means is "you're the first person I've felt safe enough around to repeat my oldest patterns with," the erotic charge comes from when closeness and wanting got wired wired together during development OP thinks leaving is respect but clinically this is acting out, because that feeling is the therapeutic material itself and he just terminated the only person equipped to work through it with him

@tacticow I'm 🇳🇱 and lost family in WWII. I say: It's okay for Germans to be proud of Germany again. Everyone who started the war is long dead and so is almost everyone who fought in it. Germany has made amends since then. Love your country. 🍻🇩🇪

@chrisgpt @BrianEastwood7 Post labor economics is what * might * happen once the majority of us are already homeless. People don't vote for welfare schemes unless they personally stand to gain from them.

@Kirby_Smalls @chrisgpt @BrianEastwood7 You don't seem to understand just how many people work unskilled jobs in logistics and transportation. And you seem to assume the remaining folks with jobs will need/want vastly more stuff. Demand ain't that elastic bro

@chrisgpt @BrianEastwood7 Actually, twice as many packages will be ordered because the cost of labor will plummet making the products significantly cheaper for those who continue to bring value to society
