@Eris_Fnord @dmweisberger @RobertKennedyJr Christian, even our "fresh produce", fish, beef, chicken, cheeses, fruits are all fu**ed up by chemicals here. It is so difficult to find pure food. In Italy, I found the food to be of a greatly superior qualty while also being cheaper. Thats why Im coming back to Italy tomorrow!

Listen, you American food martyrs: Italians don’t have better food because their bureaucrats are saints. They have it because they’re willing to pay for it.
An Italian will happily drop 15€ on a good loaf of bread. The American sees the price, yells "rip-off," then buys a giant bag of glowing cheese dust for three bucks and wonders why his stomach is killing him.
That’s not a supply problem. That’s a mentality issue.
You eat crap because you’re used to crap and you want it cheap. As long as you treat food like cheap gas-station fuel (lots, fast, dirt cheap), that’s exactly what you’ll get.
You didn’t lose good food. You chose this.
Maybe try learning to cook again, like the Italians do.

I just spent 2 incredible weeks in Italy and it is so frustrating to come back to the U.S…
How is it possible @RobertKennedyJr that the Italian food supply is so vastly superior.
I literally ate bread at every meal, dessert multiple times per day, and generally ate way more than I do in the U.S.
Not once did I have acid reflux. Not one headache, no digestive problems, and I didn’t gain any weight.
If I ate the same way in the U.S. (I used to at times) I would have gone through a full bottle of Tums and Advil just to get through the day…
WHY does the U.S. allow glyphosate in wheat, high fructose corn syrup in food and who knows what in our milk products?
The difference in quality of life in Italy vs the U.S. is staggering from their common sense (anti corporate) food regulation.
WHY aren’t more people upset about this?
The U.S. is the richest country in the world and we eat like one of the poorest.

@MacroJason This is rubbish. I eat fresh seafish and steak with vegetables nearly every meal while Im there. There is so much more to Italian cuisine besides pasta, pizza, and other starchy items. Such a limited perspective.

Italian food is a scam - 95% carbs and 5% meat.
Then you walk out to the plaza and get harassed by sub saharans trying to 'gift' you a bracelet, gypsies trying to pick pocket you and the police refuse to take action.
Better be a tourist in Prague or Budapest if you're after historical Euro architecture - real food, safe and locals you can deeply respect for protecting their countries well so far.
