California Rep. Doug LaMalfa passed away on January 6th and Gavin Newsom set the special election for August 4th, 2026. That's 7 months. (He also waited 10 days from January 6th to make that announcement.) Scandal-ridden Democrat Eric Swalwell resigned today, April 14th. August 18th is just 4 months away. Announcement on the seat made immediately. When you're a Republican, you get to wait an extra 3 months for representation. Totally democratic and fair state of California. But they want you to trust them to count ballots for weeks. Ok.

NEW: The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department says the alleged rape of Lonna Drewes by Eric Swalwell took place in July 2018 in the 900 block of Hammond Street. This comes back to the Montrose Hotel. Campaign finance expert @rpyers has flagged a travel expense from Swalwell’s campaign at the time, with FEC records showing “Swalwell for Congress” spent $361 in travel expenses at the Montrose Hotel on July 18th, 2018. Additionally, almost all hospitality packages remain unsold. These packages include premium benefits and access to all matches in a selected host city, with prices ranging from around $11,000 to $22,000 USD per person depending on the location and package.

A single anonymous outraged liberal parent mad that I received the same benefit as every other sponsor… sparked an investigation by the SacBee (generally fair article), with the sole independent expert saying I’m right. If I was looking for name ID, I wouldn’t sponsor in Rocklin where I’ve been elected for a decade. I was asked to support a nonprofit, and like many many times before, I said yes, reformatted my branding to not be political… and posted the sign like every other sponsor. When the league didn’t care, they got big mad about the law, when the law wasn’t on their side, they complained to the city, when the city didn’t find a violation they went to the SacBee… That did a largely fair article and the independent expert said we are good. Anyway, I voluntarily took down my signs and I’m going to raise them more $$$ for the trauma.
