Just finished building the 40 Acres Finance Dashboard for Optimism on Dune! This wasn’t just a simple copy from Base. While both Base and Optimism are EVM-compatible, Optimism presented its own challenges. I had to account for differences in how transactions and traces are structured, adapt to new contract addresses, and rethink how I analyzed borrower activity and protocol flows. Throughout this project, I worked through: - Smart contract decoding using tools like 4byte.directory - Loan tracing logic including proxy interactions - Optimizing and structuring modular SQL queries on Dune This process helped deepen my skills in: - EVM-based chain analytics - Transaction forensics and smart contract decoding - Building efficient, readable dashboards for DeFi protocols If you're interested in how lending activity plays out on Optimism or want to see how I approached contract-level analysis check out the dashboard: lnkd.in/eUNxKe6d
