@MikeCowtown @OunkaOnX The regime is still in power and they demolished our bases in the Middle East. They are controlling the strait and still have the ability to retaliate to any attack. How are we winning? The rest of the world sees Iran making the US look weak.

Ignatius is SO full of shit. the democrats got the US into wars that lasted not weeks, months, years, but literally decades. Now he’s whining because the US is kicking Irans ass, has virtually wiped out its military while now mopping up the remaining resistance, all without the help of our NATO “friends”. Sheesh…..

David Ignatius: Presidents avoided war with Iran for 47 years. Iran is big, wily, smart. No easy exits. Trump blew through his briefings. Thought Iran would be like Venezuela - show up, capitulate, done. Now he's stuck. No one's rushing to help. And he's learning about unanticipated consequences the hard way The 'greatest negotiator' walked into a trap.

@DD_Geopolitics Why can’t one person ask him what he’s going to do to destroy Israel’s nuclear program

🇺🇸🇮🇷 Hugh Hewitt: Do we have to get back the highly enriched uranium? Is that a red line for a deal? Trump: Yes, we do. And by the way, from a standpoint of value, it's not very valuable; it probably can't be used. They may not be able to get it...

@robertwrighter @krystalball The CFR’s fingerprints are all over this. They sold Trump on the Ukrainian rare earth minerals play and the secondary sanctions on Russia. Like clockwork, Trump adopted the policies almost immediately after the CFR floated them.

@krystalball Richard Haass--president emeritius of CFR--takes "credit" for being first to propose the blockade. Which is perfect because this is a quintessential Blob policy, evincing as it does a failure to understand the perspective of the other player.

@petermerelis @citrinowicz The American people know that the blockade is an act of war. So Iran attacking would be no different than the last month. It wouldn’t help get more domestic support. Now if Iran started attacking before a blockade then people might support it more

@citrinowicz If Iran targets American naval assets we are putting boots on the ground (with domestic political support) and finishing the job. Iran has no remaining leverage. And that's only because we are doing this NOW before they have operationalized nuclear weapons.

The escalation now appears increasingly unavoidable, especially as President Trump significantly raises the stakes. Iran is unlikely to back down. It will likely test U.S. resolve by targeting American naval assets, while also attempting to disrupt commercial shipping through the Strait of Hormuz or deter tankers from transiting altogether. Such developments would almost certainly trigger a sharp spike in global oil prices, with cascading second and third order effects particularly across Asian economies that rely heavily on Gulf energy flows. At the same time, Iran will aim to project resilience and avoid appearing to capitulate under pressure. Further escalation would increase the likelihood of Houthi action in the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, potentially threatening another critical maritime chokepoint. It would also raise the risk of Iranian strikes against infrastructure designed to bypass Hormuz, including pipelines such as the East-West corridor. While Iran would sustain significant damage, it will attempt to maintain oil exports through alternative routes like the Jask terminal, calculating that Gulf states may ultimately suffer greater economic harm. In any case, this is not a scenario with a clear winner, only varying degrees of loss. #iran

@Alexander0XCVII @BrianLatham1978 @RealAlexJones True. That’s why so many people that used to say they were MAGA now just describe themselves as America First because of what Trump has become. We need a real America First President in 2028. We don’t need a President who tells us we should listen to Graham and Levin

@jo03544979 @HunkNorris2 @RealAlexJones That’s not true. I remember listening to Levin on the radio in 2016 saying Trump shouldn’t be nominated. He only changed his tune when Trump won the nomination. Before that he thought Trump was a joke

@HunkNorris2 @RealAlexJones They were not Never Trumpers! They just liked Ted Cruz more, I voted for Ted Cruz in the primaries, because I knew where he stood and didn't know who Trump was, none of us did! Levin has been with Trump from day one! Trump has exceeded my expectations of what I thought about him!
